Christmas in Church
So Christmas is just over 3 days ago and somehow the celebrations just did not end on Christmas day itself. We just got back from a trip 2 days before Christmas and was actually trying rest and recuperate but the Christmas spirits was up! I decide to write about it to remember this year's Christmas.
Our church was decorated really nicely this year and I really enjoyed the outcome done by a dear church friend and her company. It really changed and lighten up the whole place.
I had much fun shopping for Christmas presents for some of my dear family and friends too this year. I have to say it is not every year when I can buy what I want for them and I love giving gifts as it is one of my love languages. So I thank God for providing and blessing me and my family.
On Christmas day, it started with the boys unwrapping their presents of course and wearing their Christmas hats.
On Christmas night, we went to church for a Christmas Praise Celebration starting at 730pm. There was a heavy downpour but it did not stop us from going to church to worship the Reason for this season - Jesus Christ Who became Man to redeem us and to bear the cross I cannot bear on my own.
It has been a long while since we last attended church in the night. This year for Christmas, we had one celebration in the night. In the day some of us went to clean up the place and also an abandoned space at 1st floor, in case we need for the children. It was abandoned for 2 years so it really took quite a bit of effort.
The 2 boys were exhilarated to be able to go church in the night. Had a good time worshipping Jesus, God who was born into mankind as the Hope of Glory.
Last but not least a dear family couple friend hosted us for Christmas dinner ar their new place. Not much photos taken but all of us enjoyed ourselves and had a blast relaxing at their cozy place.
I pray that Jesus as Hope to enter every homes that were devastated by losses this year and be restored by Him. It has been difficult to sleep in storms but Jesus can. He was born for such a purpose to do what we cannot do when we reach our limit. Year 2021, Shalom peace to you and all storms to be calmed down in Jesus' mighty name! Remembering all the flood victims and also rescuers too this Christmas and New Year.
