Celebrating A Gem's Birthday at Positano, Publika!!!

We remembered to take photo with the birthday girl and the food!!! Sometimes we take photos without the food or of the food without the people 🤣

Welcome to Positano!!!! It is a restaurant in Publika Kuala Lumpur serving Italian food. I like how it has outdoors and indoors seating and it is right across a park.

Super creamy Norweigian Salmon Linguine!

Okay this restaurant is named POSITANO RISTO! Perhaps risto is restaurant in Italian but I was wondering what is POSITANO. So I googled up the story of the founder who founded this restaurant. Apparently he was in search of halal Italian food and one day just before his Italian vacation ended, he stumbled across this place, Positano. It inspired him so much that he opened the first halal Italian restaurant and then it became a chain.

POSITANO? THE TOWN

Positano
Positano is one of Italy's most romantic vacation spots and one of the top Amalfi Coast towns to visit and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Built vertically on the face of a cliff, it started out as a fishing village and became popular with writers and artists in the 1950's. Today it's a fashionable resort yet still retains its charm. Positano is a pedestrian town (with many stairs) and its pretty pastel colored houses and flowers make it very picturesque.

So when my friend, @josephinengpy7 chose this place for her birthday celebration, I was also excited to explore a new place. Haven't been to this shopping gallery Publika for some time. One of our friends @michelleloh168 made reservations for 630pm and we headed towards the restaurant about 615pm.

This restaurant hangs a lot of the younger photos of celebrities which got us guessing who was this and that. They served the food very very fast and the service was very efficient, if you ask me.

So what did we order?

Norwegian Salmon Linguine
This was so super duper creamy. The salmon was very fresh but thank God we shared it among us. The cream was a bit too much for a person to consume all without feeling sick of it.

Mushroom Fettucine

This dish was a super wowser for us. Everyone loved the earthy taste that it gives. I have to say it is a very unique pasta that we do not usually find in other restaurants. It was very very good and it leaves a good and strong impression.

Grilled Caesar Salad

Okay I do not really know how to describe a caesar salad but this has cheese crumbled bites on the grilled lettuce and cherry tomatoes. That was the ingredient that elevated the taste.

Aranchini Balls

The birthday girl knows about Aranchini Balls and she said we must try it for once. It had a special dipping sauce at the bottom of each ball and it has rice in its fillings of some meat. Very tasty!

Beef Pepperoni Pizza
This is no ordinary pizza like those found in Dominoes. This was the classic true traditional oven baked beef Pepperoni Pizza that is super cheesy. I enjoyed this very much.

Belgium Chocolate Cake

We ordered a slice of Belgium chocolate cake for the birthday girl because she didn't want anything too sweet. True enough, this even has some raspberry sauce in it to give a tangy taste to cut down the sweetness. It was very very pleasant and enjoyable!!

I have to say that none of the food was not nice. Everything tasted very very good. It makes you feel every penny is worth it. The only thing was the air conditioner was probably not cooling enough.

We always treasure and appreciate time with our birthday girl who has been a very good friend to each and every one of us. She has been the kind of friend who lays down her life for people. So when it is her birthday, we definitely want to celebrate @josephinengpy7!!! Because she is our gem!!!! ❤️

Many people are still queueing to celebrate her birthday with her. So we were so lucky to grab her the next day after her exact day. Her exact day was spent with her beloved husband.
