Trust

Once I trusted everyone,
But now I can't believe,
Since you broke my heart,
I can't help but grieve.

No hope can I see,
For a new life to start,
Nor can I end this one,
I'm stuck in my heart.

Now I stay alone,
With walls up high,
To feel protected,
And keep you far from nigh.

I never knew evil,
Until I saw it in you,
How can humans hurt,
And be so selfish too?

This is something,
I'll never understand,
How pain can be caused,
By someone's cruel hand.
