Still working from home
Working from home has been a very big change for me and for many of you, but I love the experience. At the beginning, I found it hard to stay productive and focused with so many distractions around me: Music, Netflix, my phone and laziness. But with time, I have learned some strategies that helped me stay focused.
The first thing I did was create a dedicated workspace that I can use from the morning until the evening without distractions. Thats from 9 until I really get tired. I work and study for 8 to 10 hours every day. I found a quiet corner in my flat where I could set up a desk, a chair and my laptop. I didn't really decorate it but keep it clean and organize. With hot coffee and sweet chocolate everything is perfect to keep me productive while working.
Next, I created a schedule that works for me, from 9 am until i feel tired in the evening. Usually, I work best in the morning, so I try to finish my most important tasks early in the day. It is very difficult to get up every morning and my alarm keeps ringing and ringing lol But I think all of us know that! In between I take regular breaks throughout the day to rest my mind, have a short nap (if not 3 or 4 hours lol) and stretch my body. I also make sure to take a lunch break, even if it's just for 30 minutes, to give myself a mental break and watch a short video while eating. Sometimes I find it even difficult to cook when I am very busy, so I just order something while still working.
One of the biggest challenges I have faced while working from home is staying focused and finish what I have to do on time. I used to postpone everything to the last minute and trying to do better these days. There are so many distractions around me, from social media to household chores to feeling lazy and sleepy. So, I decided to turn off my mobile or disable all notifications while I am working.
Finally, I try take care of myself both physically and mentally. Get enough sleep, eat healthy (even if not on time), and stay active by taking breaks to stretch and meditate. I also take time to do things that make me happy and reduce stress, like watching Netflix or programming videos.
Working from home has its challenges, but it is also fun and comfortable. With these strategies, I could stay productive and motivated. I have learned that it is important to find what works best for me and to be flexible as my needs change. By staying organized and taking care of myself, I have been able to make the most of this new way of working.
