Vida Festival

From one event to the next.
I'm back in Barcelona since last Wednesday night and finally united with my lovee Lluna again.
We planned our first week to be around Barcelona. But the previous weekend restructed the pawns and some friends invited us to join them to a festival. No sooner said than done and after Lluna's and mine reunion plus a couple of hours of sleep we went to the festival called Vida.

Some history:
It was created in Vilanova i la Geltrú in 2014, taking over from the former Faraday Festival —the first initiative that gave a boost to the capital of Garraf as a stage for international music—.

I really like the idea of what they try do convey and say:

Cultural Decentralisation

With a renewed breath, Vida bets on cultural decentralization in our country settling in Vilanova.

This is not a festival

We want to treat our audience as people, not as units. To this end, we’ve decided to move the culture away from the city centre deploying the festival’s experience in a natural environment of great beauty, wide and open, comfortable and welcoming for everyone. In a free-of-crowds space, the performances become memorable for an audience that finds, in our festival, a unique way to imbue themselves with music and culture.

A world's perspective through a kaleidoscope.

It felt pretty good. A lovely festival with lots of peeps and great musical gems. Everyone danced, kissed, partied, explored the area and had fun. At least that's how it seemed to me.
Where is love and music, there's also drama, right? Like, where love is found there are tears to share. In a positive way 💚

Also, we had our own concerts in our camp area because most of us are musicians. It's so precious to be with birds of a feather (like-minded people).

The next photo shows an absolute fantastic invention. I have never seen that before. So please excuse my excitement. How creative, to go around, serve fresh cold tapped beer to the crowd. They can keep their spot and have a new drink. I just got one drink to support the idea. Though I'm someone who like to squeeze myself through the sweating people and smile into at all the variety of faces.

While the sun was out in full force, we did have a couple hours of heavy rain one evening. Thankfully, one of our savvier number thought to bring an umbrella to the festival. So we were able to keep dancing and having fun while being dry, until the musicians couldn't handle the wet. After such a dry period, the rain was a welcome sight for plants and animals, and so to us.
