'Song 68' - New Original Music - A Dawless Timed Challenge from Today

timed challenge from this afternoon, which isn't the best thing ever, but it was the first real idea playing with my new LeafAudio Soundbox. It's basically a wood box with contact mics inside, with springs, a scratch bad, a kalimba of sorts, and some metal poles that can be played various ways (I need to get a violin bow to really use them). I started making a loop on the Microcosm with it, then played some Digitone and Syntakt parts over that (both of which use Microcosm effects on them). The drums wound up being a little quiet here, but this weekend, I'm gonna sit down without a time limit and really explore the Soundbox via the Microcosm and the Astral Destiny pedals, and see what kind of interesting ambient stuff I can get out of it. I'm excited to use it for freaky horror-movie type stuff, but also just for percussion elements that will be really fun to incorporate.
