In taking care of our environment. We individuals play a vital role for that. You shouldn't wait for the government or corporate organization. It's your environment where you live and your health matters the most. Whereas if you have an issue you can't handle, you can call for the aid of the government.

Clean your environment:
An unhygienic environment can be a treat to your health. Making sure waste is disposed of properly and far from where humans live. Anything that's not properly kept or may not be good kindly remove them. It must not be necessary you kept it there
You also need to recycle materials,so as to reduce waste products.

In some areas, waste are poured into rivers or are dumped as it is raining and when water flows it carry such waste into the sea with can be dangerous for living things in water. Environment doesn't only have to do with land but also all our ecosystems both on land and in water.
We have less fish in the sea today because of water pollution.
Avoid pouring waste in rivers, sea. This could cause water pollution even for individuals living close to the river line area.

Encourage growing of trees and avoid cutting down trees:
Many people might be scared of growing trees or plants because of harmful animals but if the environment is clean, harmful animals like snakes can't be seen.
When we plant trees they provide us with oxygen which humans breathe.

Limit burning
Not everything should be burnt like I say you can recycle waste and if it is not recyclable, dispose properly rather than burning.
Burning can cause air pollution which is also not good for your health.
