BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Fire & Regret - 12/06/2023

Hello fellow Spinterlands players !!!

I finally got a battle with Fire & Regret, and I must say, IMHO it was really worth the wait, because it's a great fight between two incredible teams. Fire & Regret is a pretty common rule set that we find a lot of times playing on Splinterlands, so let's dive in, in this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge !!!

Fire & Regret

The core concept of the Fire & Regret ruleset centers around the counterattack mechanism triggered when an opposing unit launches a ranged assault. In this case, the attacker receives reciprocal damage, calculated by dividing their inflicted damage by 2 and rounding up.
Nevertheless, ranged units equipped with the Reflection Shield ability are immune to any counterattacks from reflected magical assaults. To take full advantage of this ruleset, players commonly refrain from deploying ranged monsters and instead favor melee and magic creatures.

And these are the rule sets:

A nice big 53 of mana cap, so we can finally choose heavy and powerful cards, and three rulesets : Fire & Regret , Born Again(each monster has the Rebirth ability) and Going the Distance (you can only choose cars with Ranged attack).

Here's a look at the battlefield :

My team has a strange card in the first position, a rarity seldom used , War Chaang, with his double attack (Melee and Ranged) but thanks to Scarred Llama Mage it gets , like all his teammates, the Last Stand ability.
In second position I put gold foil Gargoya Devil , in third gold foil Rune Crafter, in fourth Venaari Seedsmith, in fifth Supply Runner, and in last Runemancer Florre with her doble sttack (Ranged and Magic) and her 15 points of Health.

My opponent used Kelya Frendul as a summoner, and the new strategy of deploying Venari Marksrat in first position, so with his Martyr ability, he can increase all the stats of the card in second when he dies, usually early in the game, and thanks to the Born Again ruleset, this increase will happen 2 times in a row.
His team was followed by Gargoya Devil, Angelic Mandarin, Merdhampir, Supply Runner, and Swamp Spitter.

Wow , what a battle !!! And it was a close one !!!

I won in the end thanks to Runemancer Florre, her double attack (she could still use Magic in the first position), and the Last Stand ability that Llama Scarred Mage gave her.
I'm so happy I have these cards in my collection, because they are really powerful !!!

Finalmente ho affrontato una battaglia con Fire & Regret e devo dire, secondo me, ne è valsa davvero la pena perché è stata una grande sfida tra due squadre incredibili. Fire & Regret è una regola abbastanza comune che incontriamo spesso durante le partite su Splinterlands, quindi tuffiamoci in questa settimana di sfida Battle Mage Secrets !!!

Fire & Regret
Il concetto principale del set di regole Fire & Regret ruota attorno al meccanismo di contrattacco scatenato quando un'unità avversaria lancia un attacco a distanza. In questo caso, l'attaccante subisce un danno reciproco, calcolato dividendolo per 2 e arrotondando per eccesso.
Tuttavia, le unità a distanza dotate dell'abilità Reflection Shield sono immuni a qualsiasi contrattacco da parte di attacchi magici riflessi. Per sfruttare appieno questo set di regole, i giocatori spesso evitano di schierare mostri a distanza e preferiscono invece creature da mischia e magiche.

Un bel 53 di mana cap, quindi finalmente possiamo scegliere carte pesanti e potenti, e tre set di regole: Fire & Regret, Born Again (ogni mostro ha l'abilità Rebirth) e Going the Distance (puoi scegliere solo carte con attacco Ranged).

Ecco un'occhiata al campo di battaglia:

La mia squadra ha una carta strana in prima posizione, una rarità raramente usata, War Chaang, con il suo doppio attacco (Melee e Ranged), ma grazie a Scarred Llama Mage ottiene, come tutti i suoi compagni di squadra, l'abilità Last Stand.
In seconda posizione ho messo la carta dorata Gargoya Devil, in terza la carta dorata Rune Crafter, in quarta Venaari Seedsmith, in quinta Supply Runner, e in ultima Runemancer Florre con il suo doppio attacco (Ranged e Magic) e i suoi 15 punti di Health.

Il mio avversario ha usato Kelya Frendul come evocatore e la nuova strategia di schierare Venari Marksrat in prima posizione, in modo che con la sua abilità Martyr possa aumentare tutte le statistiche della carta successiva quando muore, di solito all'inizio del gioco, e grazie al set di regole Born Again, questo aumento avverrà 2 volte di seguito.
La sua squadra era seguita da Gargoya Devil, Angelic Mandarin, Merdhampir, Supply Runner e Swamp Spitter.

Wow, che battaglia !!! Ed è stata molto combattuta !!!

Ho vinto alla fine grazie a Runemancer Florre, al suo doppio attacco (poteva ancora usare Magic in prima posizione) e all'abilità Last Stand che le ha dato Llama Scarred Mage.
Sono così felice di avere queste carte nella mia collezione, perché sono davvero potenti !!!
