Cost Vs Quality equals durability.
Hello! Everyone. Welcome to my blog. This is my first time posting in this community. I came across this community topic while curating in dreemport, and it's a topic I am conversant with as regards our daily lifestyle.
Expensive items that are durable are better than cheap items that are not durable. Cheap items can actually be of good quality depending on what category it falls in. Nobody wants to waste money especially when it's hard to come by.
Most expensive items are selling product name and not quality which is why some upcoming companies would cut down their price to get into the market promising quality and durability but how then would you trust this product? That's where the warranty form comes in, a certify agreement between customer and company.
There are items that I would prefer to purchase despite how expensive it is because I would be considering its durability and guarantee even though I would need to save more to purchase those items e.g electronics. Electronics would serve a long term purpose so I would rather buy them expensive knowing fully well that it is backed up with guarantee.
In as much as I love thrift wears and are comfortable with them, there are times when I crave for higher grade wears and got disappointed after purchasing it.
For instance, here is the Jean trousers I bought for #4000(5.06 USD). The lady at the boutique had hyped the quality of the product only for me to receive the worst embarrassment after I had purchased it. I wore it for an outing at the shopping mall. it got torn on different sides while I was shopping. Anytime I pull the trouser up it will tear. The trouser is stretchy and I loved it. I felt bad because I didn't enjoy the value for my money. I actually tried to use stickers to stitch those open parts but it still got torn when I put it on. Despite the cost of the Jean it lacked durability.
I bought some fairly used high quality Jean trousers at the rate of #1200(1.53 USD) each to replace the stock jean. Mere looking at them, you will notice its quality and durability. I have been wearing those for at least 2 years plus now. I don't regularly shop for clothes and shoes but when I do I look out for quality even if they are just few my money can purchase.
How can l forget this electric kettle I bought for #3000(3.80 USD ) as a new one 4 years ago. It got bad recently. It just stopped working. Instead of repairing it I decided to get a new one because I know it will cost me almost the price for a new one to fix it and what if after fixing it and it still doesn't work? That would be another loss.
So I bought another new one at the rate of #6000(7.59 USD ). On the pack, it has a warranty form that expires in 14 days after purchase. The company is responsible for any form of repair or replacement if necessary within the period of 14 days. Although some other companies gives more than a year guarantee.
Quality without warranty but guaranteed.
When it comes to sneakers I prefer to go for quality and not quantity. One good shoe is better than many bad shoes so I would rather save up, to purchase quality whether it's expensive or not. This sneakers cost #8000(10.13 USD ) it does not have a brand name but it has quality and it's durable. I have had this sneakers for 3 years now although I don't always wear it but despite that it is still intact, if it were of a low quality sneakers it would have peeled.
If an item would serve a long term purpose then I would definitely go for an expensive item that has warranty and durability but if not I would go for cheap items after all saving cost in this hard time is very important and cheap items doesn't really mean they are cheap, prices get slashed down when they are fairly used or when they are trying to get into the market.
Many people always go for cheap items to save cost but most cheap items are expensive in the long run as you may need to replace them more frequently.

I've sailed this ship many times. Hahaha. But we don't give up, we'll keep purchasing when we have the money 😂.
Sure! 😅
I love your point of view on shopping 🙌🏻 I think it's a perfect balance when purchasing something. Expensive doesn't always come out good and cheap comes out expensive. So that's a nice balance you have 💟
Thank you @purpleglitter
Thanks so much for sharing. I'm often on the lookout for bargains and have no issue with unbranded items either.. that being said, I also have learned how to spot quality - which is soooo important to me. #dreemerforlife beemed down from #dreemport - to this #dreemer curated post :)
You are welcome!
Most of us love cheap things that's why we end up getting fake things. It's not bad to spend good amount of money to buy something that will last for long. Most of those cheap things were already used by others, once you buy them and put little pressure on them they will completely go damaged.

Yeah! Truly spoken, but I have bought cheap items that lasted more than an expensive item. It's a two thing you know. Cheap doesn't really mean cheap.
Hehehe.. at the end, should we just say it depends on how lucky one is?
Imagine how the fairly used Jean is serving it's purpose very well with cheaper cost. Most times, it's not all about expensive thing but one should look out for quality and durability, then coming to warranty, it's also a good idea buying a product with warranty..it helps to save cost of repair by yourself should incase an item develops fault
Truly we have countless times be victimised, the idea of what to look for in an item has become very important. Times are hard, you can't be wasting money either on repairs or replacement.
Very true dear sometimes expensive things don't last and sometimes the things we bought from OK can stand the test of time
Exactly. In terms of purchasing wears I just prefer "ok wears" I just feel they are the best and you can hardly find a repeated design.
Yes u can't see someone else wearing that particular one it rare
That's why I love them.
