Hola querida comunidad de Hive Open Mic, estamos en la semana #154 con la temática “Comedia Musical”, gracias a nuestra comunidad y a la destacada Artista @nancybmp, es un honor poder participar nuevamente con ustedes, mi usuario @geronimamunoz.

Tengo varios días pensando en la temática de esta semana, me detuve a decidir qué hacer, ya que, nunca he realizado una comedia, ni dramatización. Sin embargo, me invita a hacer algo dentro del marco de lo tradicional de mi país, Venezuela y así poder mostrar un poco sobre nuestra identidad.

En el Estado Monagas, tenemos una manifestación que se celebra el 28 de Diciembre de cada año, se trata del “Mono de Caicara de Maturín". Es sorprendente estar allí en esa fecha, viajan personas de todo el oriente venezolano para disfrutar de la festividad que no tiene ninguna conexión con el día de los Santos Inocentes pero si con los ancestros y con las comunidades indígenas de la región.

El Mono de Caicara, Danza colectiva de calle, todo se paraliza para celebrar esta manifestación tradicional. Las personas hacen una gran comparsa, un tren humano, todos tomados por la cintura y forman hileras recorriendo las calles hasta llegar al actual Monódromo donde se reúne parte de la población, es el epicentro del baile, donde se integran todos a la fiesta que dura 12 horas seguidas. Por otra parte, el Baile del Mono, es Patrimonio Cultural del estado Monagas y Bien de Interés Nacional.

En cuanto a los personajes, mucha gente disfrazadas con la cara pintada de añil, onoto o tizne, existe una mujer que guía al grupo, es llamada Mayordoma, se viste con sombrero, falda, Chaqueta y peinilla en mano, ella es una figura de autoridad y respeto en la parranda. En mi post represento este personaje, ya que me identifico con ella y es muy importante en la comunidad guardando el orden que amerita el momento, siempre lleva una bandera. Fuente

Al son del tambor, las maracas, el caracol, cuatro y mandolina, se divierten y comparten por todo el pueblo de Caicara de Maturín, desde la madrugada del día 28 de diciembre hasta que amanece, inicia el desfile de parrandas durante todo el día sin parar. Fuente

Hello dear community of Hive Open Mic, we are in week #154 with the theme "Musical Comedy", thanks to our community and the outstanding artist @nancybmp, it is an honor to participate again with you, my user @geronimamunoz.

I have several days thinking about the theme of this week, I stopped to decide what to do, since, I have never done a comedy, nor dramatization. However, it invites me to do something within the framework of the traditional of my country, Venezuela and thus be able to show a little about our identity.

In the State of Monagas, we have an event that is celebrated on December 28th of each year, it is the "Mono de Caicara". It is amazing to be there on that date, people travel from all over eastern Venezuela to enjoy the festivity that has no connection with the day of the Holy Innocents but with the ancestors and the indigenous communities of the region.

El Mono de Caicara, collective street dance, everything comes to a standstill to celebrate this traditional manifestation. The people make a big parade, a human train, all taken by the waist and form rows going through the streets until they reach the current Monodrome where part of the population gathers, it is the epicenter of the dance, where everyone is integrated to the party that lasts 12 hours straight. On the other hand, the Monkey Dance is Cultural Patrimony of the state of Monagas and of National Interest.

As for the characters, many people disguised with their faces painted in indigo, onoto or tizne, there is a woman who guides the group, she is called Mayordoma, she dresses with hat, skirt, jacket and comb in hand, she is a figure of authority and respect in the parranda. In my post I represent this character, since I identify with her and she is very important in the community keeping the order that the moment deserves, you can see her in the picture, she always carries a flag.
