Making life beautiful again for my family means everything to me.

As humans, we all have different perspectives on things which is very much normal and our achievements are one of those things we scale differently. I will define achievement as success, as being able to succeed with something I find difficult but still very important to me. While some people think owning a vehicle is an achievement, some would choose how they became a graduate from a higher institutions.

It is about getting married for some people while becoming a father or mother is what some choose as their biggest achievement and regardless of whatever anyone chooses, I think respecting one another choice is important because only an individual knows what they went through before achieving that one thing they choose to be their proudest achievement.

After looking deeply into things I would refer to as an achievement, it became difficult for me to choose just one out of many. I was born without a silver spoon and everything I have done in life till this moment is an achievement for me, it has to do with my education, family, relationship, spiritual life, helping people, and many other things.

Among everything, one seems to stand out and that's been able to provide for my family. This might not look like a lot for many but for people who are the first child of a family that had nothing will understand better.

I am a person who cherishes family a lot and I have never felt reluctant to give them my all during crucial moments that require it. My family is everything, they are the only ones who stood by me during the most difficult phase of my life.

I mentioned earlier about being born without a silver spoon but my family was happy and contented with what we had. Something happened along the line, the happiness in the family disappeared, things got so bad that we were homeless at a point, and surviving became difficult. It was a terrible journey before we could stand on our feet again partially, mom had to do multiple jobs just to pay bills, and despite everything, things weren't balanced.

What do expect from a bird with one of its wings broken? Flying is impossible, it just has to move with it legs as fast as it can.

She did her best, I saw her struggles, her sweat, the pain and insult she had to bear from people for the sake of making sure that the family survives. She had the opportunity to get married again but turned down the man and when I asked why? she said that "she didn't want to share her love for her kids with anyone".

Taking care of my family and giving them a good life has always been one of my biggest dreams, I haven't completely fulfilled the dream but I am proud of the progress we have made as a family. My family sacrificed a lot for me and I promised myself not to make their sacrifices go in vain, being able to provide for them, make them happy, and ensure that they are all doing well is my proudest achievement.

The once homeless family now even accommodates and caters to people's needs, my siblings' education is going on smoothly and I bless God for that. My mom stopped her petty jobs immediately after I got my first job, it was time for her to start resting.

The once departed happiness was restored, we are happy again and we bless God for it. I might not own a car or wear expensive things but I feel wealthy when I look at my happy family, I haven't done enough for them though, we don't have it all yet but I believe that the days to come are filled with great things for us.

I once quarreled with a very close friend who told me a few years ago that if I don't stop giving too much to the family, it would be hard for me to make it. He knows the family when things were rough and I expected him to understand better.

He thought I was slowing myself down with what I am doing but I am not in a competition with anyone, my family is my biggest priority and I am happy with how I have been able to turn our life story around for good with the help of the Almighty God, what else could have been my proudest achievement? I wouldn't have become what I am today without my family as well.
