Remembering the beauty of my career in Bioanalysis (ESP-ENG)

¡Hola hivers!💜

Espero que se encuentren bien. Tenía días sin publicar y justo hoy la app google fotos me envió una notificación acerca de algunos recuerdos y así me reencontré con estas fotos de cuando era estudiante de la licenciatura en Bioanálisis, así que quería compartirselas.

Empecé a estudiar en el año 2012 y logré graduarme, luego de paros, un incendio que destruyó el edificio de la carrera, otro paro, situación país, en el 2019. Compaginar mis estudios con mi trabajo fue todo un reto, pero agradezco haberlo vivido y haber aprendido del mundo laboral, aunque no en mi área, desde mucho antes.

Viendo estas fotos recordé que estábamos en el laboratorio de la clase de parasitología observando diferentes parásitos en muestras de heces. Sí, no suena nada divertido, y honestamente no fue de mis materias favoritas, pero una de las cosas que me enamoró de mi carrera es conocer ese mundo microscópico que nos compone. Si bien estos microorganismos no son buenos para el cuerpo, el aprender a identificarlos es todo un reto. Y debo decir que verlos moverse y distinguirlos era algo genial.

Algo que también amé de mi carrera fueron mis amigas: Keicber, Raudimar y Francimar fueron mi apoyo y compañía durante todos esos años. Nos conocimos durante nuestro primer semestre y luego nos volvimos muy amigas. Intentábamos inscribir todas las materias juntas para así poder apoyarnos al estudiar. No imagino revivir la experiencia sin ellas. Por cosas de la vida, no logramos graduarnos en el mismo acto, pero las cuatro logramos cumplir la meta y estoy muy orgullosa de las mujeres que son hoy en día.

Debo decir que aunque no tenga muchas fotos mientras estaba estudiando, estoy feliz de haberme reencontrado con estas y aunque tal vez no ejerza en este momento, me enorgullece todo lo que aprendí y logré en ese tiempo.

Hi hivers! 💜

I hope you are well. I had days without posting and just today the google photos app sent me a notification about some memories and so I found these photos from when I was a student of the degree in Bioanalysis, so I wanted to share them.

I started studying in 2012 and managed to graduate, after strikes, a fire that destroyed the building of the career, another strike, country situation, in 2019. Combining my studies with my work was a challenge, but I am grateful to have lived through it and to have learned about the working world, although not in my area, since long before.

---

Looking at these photos I remembered that we were in the parasitology class lab observing different parasites in stool samples. Yes, it doesn't sound fun at all, and honestly it wasn't one of my favorite subjects, but one of the things that made me fall in love with my career is getting to know this microscopic world that makes us up. While these microorganisms are not good for the body, learning to identify them is challenging. And I must say that watching them move and distinguishing them was great.

Something I also loved about my career were my friends: Keicber, Raudimar and Francimar were my support and company during all those years. We met during our first semester and then we became close friends. We tried to enroll all the subjects together so we could support each other in our studies. I can't imagine reliving the experience without them. As life would have it, we didn't manage to graduate at the same time, but the four of us managed to accomplish our goal and I am very proud of the women we are today.

I must say that even though I don't have many pictures while I was studying, I am happy to have been reunited with them and even though I may not be practicing right now, I am proud of all that I learned and accomplished during that time.
