I am sad to see this program come to an end but then everything that has a beginning must have an ending, and we have come to the end of the newbies initiative. When I was selected for the initiative, I was surprised and extremely happy, over the moon I would say that I was part of this wonderful initiative that is helping newbies to know more about hive. This is my last task for the initiative and this task is more of a review.
What do you think of the Newbies Initiative, and how has it helped your Hive journey?
The newbies initiative is the best program that teaches newbies about hive. I joined hive in July 2022, and I didn't make my introduction post until August 2022, simply because I found hive to be so overwhelming. Even after making my introduction post, I was confused about what to do. However, being part of the initiative has helped me to understand hive a lot.
The first thing the initiative did for me, was the removal the fear of not being good enough. Before, I use to feel as though what I wrote is not good enough because I see people making unique posts on hive and this is one of the reasons that prevented me from posting on my blog. Through the initiative, I got to know that no matter what I think about my post I should put it out there because that will help me become a better version of myself.
The initiative also enlightened me about the importance of engagement. I got to know just how important engagement is to my visibility on hive. And now I pay attention to my engagement and making quality comment on people's posts
How did you benefit from the tasks?
the values I got from each task cannot be measured. Each task gave me something unique.
Task 1
Task one tutorials was about the importance of setting smart goals and being strategic. The principle I learnt from this task, I also apply to other things outside of hive.
Task 2
here we learnt about tags, tokens, and markdowns. What I enjoyed most about this task were the markdown tutorials. I used to see posts with markdowns, and I wonder how they do that but with task 2, I got to know about markdowns and I loved it.
Task 3
We learn about hive keys and security and know how to safeguard our account and what to do should my account be hacked.
Task 4
We learn about different front ends on hive. Most people had difficulties with this task because we had to upload a video through 3speak.
Task 5
For task 5 we learnt about tipping, mining and trading hive tokens. I got to know about the second layer of hive.
Task 6
In this task I learnt about NFTs and blockchain games. I also played the rising star game, which I found to be easy to play.

What aspects of the Initiative do you believe we could enhance, and how?
The initiative has really been good and all the newbies initiative team leads have done a wonderful job. I don't have much to say. Many people find the 3speak video upload to be difficult, I think this aspect should be looked into. Another thing is buying of hive, am grateful for the tutorials on the second layer of hive but some people do not have hive for the 5th task and did not know how to buy it. I think that tutorials on how to buy hive should also be included to the newbies initiative.
Recall the Newbies Initiative Task 1 when you were required to list your objectives. Tell us about your objectives and the extent you’ve come.
When we started the initiative I made some smart goals and put up some system to help me achieve these goals. Although I made lots of improvements, I was unable to dedicate myself to the process I put in place to help me achieve my goals due to the nature of my job. I feel like I started the initiative with all energy but then ended it with a lack of energy, am not happy about that at all.
review of hive power
I started the initiative with 7HP and I aimed to get 43HP more, I made lots of progress with my hive power because I now have 133HP
review of followers
I started with 13 followers and wanted to add 27 more but I only made 19 more.
review of comment
I started with 174 comments and wanted to increase to 500 comments. So far I have made a total of 912 comments am happy about this.
review of consistency, procrastination and friends
I was not consistent due to the workload of my job, I still procrastinate but I have made lots of friends on hive and I hope to keep making more friends.

I enjoyed the newbies initiative and learnt a lot. I belong to team 3 and we had eight members,

@sommylove @tomiajax @moremoney28 and myself but 2 people were dropped along the way because they couldn't complete the task, I hope they will reapply.

Look at my darling oo, I'm so so so sorry for not showing up until now, I've been a little busy and forgetful at the same time.
You have really learnt so much from the initiative despite your busy schedule and your procrastination, lolz. Well you did really well and I know you will keep doing better.
For your input to the initiative, I think reviewing the task of posting through threespeaks is a good one, maybe we will give awareness of that task from the beginning so all the newbies can start preparing towards it.
Then how to buy hive, that shouldn't be a problem because they can easily ask if they really want to know but then it's not a bad idea.
Well done dear, finishing the newbies initiative is a missed feeling something, you are happy you are free but then x you will miss learning new things and maybe loose some support, hehe. But it's all good in the end 🥰.

It's good to see someone's progress. We all have insecurities in some ways. But, learn not to compare yourself to others. It's hard, but it will help you not to be demotivated.
