Una linda mariposa con patas de arlequín / A cute butterfly with harlequin legs

Saludos amantes de los insectos. Las mariposas son hermosas criaturas que disfrutan de andar de flor en flor llenando al mundo de alegría. De todos los insectos creo que están entre las favoritas de poetas, músicos y pintores, basta observarlas para darnos cuenta que sus alas son como pequeñas obras de arte, llenas de diseños y colores espectaculares.

Greetings insect lovers. Butterflies are beautiful creatures that enjoy flying from flower to flower filling the world with joy. Of all the insects, I think they are among the favorites of poets, musicians and painters. Just look at them to realize that their wings are like small works of art, full of spectacular designs and colors.

Suelo toparme con frecuencia con ellas y tengo suerte tanto para que se queden tranquilas mientras les hago fotos como para que se queden en mis manos sin asustarse. Esta pequeña amiguita andaba jugueteando por ahí así que la seguí para ver si podía hacer unas fotos jejeje.

I often run into them and I'm lucky that they stay calm while I take photos and that they stay in my hands without getting scared. This little friend was playing around so I followed her to see if I could take some photos hehehe.

Conocida como mariposa sedosa de lunas naranjas, su nombre científico es Calycopis isobeon, habitan desde Venezuela hasta el centro del estado de Texas en Estados Unidos, y si bien son muy comunes aquí, la mayoría de las veces que las he visto ha sido en la calle o cuando ando haciendo senderismo, no vienen con frecuencia a mi balcón 😕🤷🏻‍♀️. Estás fotos las hice en la terraza de mi edificio.

Known as the orange moon silky butterfly, her scientific name is Calycopis isobeon, they live from Venezuela to the center of the state of Texas in the United States, and although they are very common here, most of the times I have seen them have been on the street or when I'm hiking, they don't come to my balcony often 😕🤷🏻‍♀️. I took these photos on the terrace of my building.

Para poder hacer unas buenas fotos me acosté en el piso, la verdad es que me encanta hacer eso cuando estoy fotografiando insectos jejeje / In order to take good photos I lay down on the floor, the truth is that I love doing that when I'm photographing insects hehehe

Sus patas y antenas tienen un lindo diseño de rayas blancas y negras, parece que vistiera unas medias de arlequín jejeje / Her legs and antennae have a cute black and white striped design, she looks like she's wearing harlequin stockings hehehe

Su principal característica son las dos colas que tiene en cada una de sus alas traseras / Her main characteristic are the two tails she has on each of her hind wings

Aunque no pude verle bien la parte de arriba de las alas porque volaba muy rápido y había mucho sol, tienen básicamente el mismo diseño, beige con manchas rojas al extremo. Although I couldn't see well the top of the wings because she was flying very fast and there was a lot of sun, I know how they are, they have basically the same design, beige with red spots on the end.
