Update From Europa - II

Took a couple of days to sleep and mosey around the station, outside my suit, for a change. As much as the suit's a literal life preserver when living on the moon, it feels good to move around without it, from time to time. Atmospheric oxygen is non existence, but station's quarters are pressurized.

Previous night was rough - hard work for nearly 2 days straight.

Feeling rested, got into my suit again and went outside to take a lung full of the figurative fresh air and this is what i see:

This juggernaut of a ship, roaming way to close to the station for comfort.

Fortunately they didn't pose an immediate threat, as they didn't engage.

Hopefully just a trade ship.

Still, i am not risking these encounters for much longer.

Without proper defenses, if a ship was to start shooting down at the station, i would be helpless; unable to retaliate.

This is unacceptable. I need to protect the station.

Good morning Europa; you freezing, icy rock!

Feeling fully rested now.

Will spend today finishing up the grinder pit.

Grinder pit's cover needs rework; hinges are not centered; it's lids' weight is offset and possible problems on the hinges might occur.

Defenses will have to wait until after.

Another near-24 hour work schedule. Worked through the day, and into the night. Just a few hours until the sun comes up, but i've finished work on the grinder.

Grinding pit status is functional and completed - for now - if improvements are needed, will get back to it.

Fell asleep in my suite again, inside the Buzzer, while waiting for day light to strike the solar panels installed, and charge the depleted batteries.

A few more RLS on the completed structure and then i need to catch some more z's before i start planning the defenses for the station. Sleeping outside the base, inside a cockpit is not a resting experience.

As for defenses, i'll need to configure them correctly; i don't want them shooting unless the station is attacked first. A simple conveyor system to keep them loaded with ammo. Might need to do some mining for minerals for the ammo.

I'll need to check.
