Thinking
Today was one of those days in which I was thinking deeply and considering specific situations, facts and information that would ultimately help me come to a decision. I don't tend to shut my mind off much so am always thinking but today it was focused on a particular thing with the intent being to come to a final decision at the end of it.
What was I thinking about?
Well, what I was thinking about is not something I'm going to divulge on the internet because it's nothing any of you need to know about. Let's just say that a lot of thought went into it and a decision was made at the end of the deliberations so I'm content that my time was spent productively.
So, you may be wondering what the point of this post is if I'm not going to talk about the thing I was thinking about and considering today. Well, there's no point to it at all really, there doesn't need to be. It exists, and that's all that matters...it exists because I have the freedom to make it so.
What else exists because I had the freedom to make it so are a few photos I took today in black and white, three of which you can see in this post. This is a daisy plucked from my garden and because I'm really digging black and white at the moment - and am free to choose what I want to do - I've chosen to present these photos in black and white.
I've had a really great Sunday today, productive, relaxing and generally enjoyable which is something I needed after the working week from the depths of hell last week and despite having to start the week all over again tomorrow I'm feeling content - maybe something to do with the decision I made but I'm not telling.

The pictures are great, they gave me the feeling of marble flowers, I don't know why, or glass... of some shiny and beautiful material. They look great, I like them a lot.
Well yesterday I did some things around the house and then at night I went out.... Today is a quiet day resting a bit, writing, in the afternoon with the family having a snack and then a night walk with Tony, my kitten, but I'm already planning next Sunday hahaha.
I was walking along with my camera in my hand then tripped over and accidentally pressed the shutter release. These are the three images that I captured. 🫣
Resting, writing and snacks...seems like a good day.

I always try to apply wisdom to my deliberations and I think I've done just that in this particular case. Time will tell.

I had a really relaxed weekend (yesterday I also drank a few beers, so I relaxed even more).
Today I'm at the same lake, in the shade, listening to music, clicking on Hive and emptying my brain of all the heavy thoughts I've accumulated over the past week.

I find a lot of enjoyment in it and some relaxation too...except when things go wrong!

Hi Galen, yesterday I was at the farewell of the flamenco (music) season hsat October. I usually go once or twice a month to a flamenco peña with several friends to listen to new and semi-professional singers. This is the authentic flamenco atmosphere, and the contact with the artists is very close.

Hi Galen, I had a great time. And also, this year we have consolidated a small group of fans, (with its Whatsapp group, of course), and there we comment on music, share videos. We recently talked about the shared experiences, and how important they are... and the truth is, they are very pleasant moments shared with good people.

I spend lots of time thinking, and most times, like you prefer not to share what I think about. Hell, it might scare most people what comes out of this head. LOL
Our weekend was somewhat uneventful. It was a holiday weekend over here. So we enjoyed BBQ and local fireworks displays.

Yesterday I visited a B-24 Bomber which crash-landed on Atka Island, Alaska.
Remains in pretty good shape even though it landed over 70 years ago. So I've had a good Sunday too.

Similar to you I had a really good and relaxing weekend. It was a long one and I'm sure that helped. I haven't felt this relaxed and doing little in a long time. It is now Sunday evening here and I'm winding down on the balcony and it's just beautiful - minus the mozzies that are starting to appear.
Here's to a good / better week ahead of us.

I like the feel of your text, the relaxation you clearly feel. Weekends are a nice time to find that. I miss that to be honest, I'm always so busy and stressed with work, what's happening in my personal life and so on...but sometimes decisions are made and things change huh? 😉
I tend to be pretty good at managing it all, balancing and finding detachment when I need to, however things have a way of compounding I guess. I look forward to a positive week and some change. 🤐

And habits can be hard to break, yeah, I know. I look forward to seeing the color ones but I can imagine that I prefer the monochromes but who knows?
I know about stress at work and managing it. But, it certainly got to me over the past few years. Frankly, I was kimd of surprised that this weekend was so relaxing. Although, come Monday morning it all went out the window...

Travelling away with the trailer?
We talked about it, but instead we rented a car for this trip. I will be writing more about it once we get home. I've got weeks worth of posts lined up!
Ok, makes sense to use someone else's car sometimes. I hired a RAV4 to do New Zealand a little while back, not my clkind of car usually but it did a good job and was good on fuel.
Yeah, we ticked over the 3000 mile point today and we still aren't home, so I am glad we rented!
Best to have those kays (kilometres) on someone else's vehicle.

For sure! We ended up just shy of 3500 miles or 5632 Kilometers.
It's really cool how black and white can mess with one's visual and perception. The flower looks synthetic from the photos. The first one looks so rigid, the second almost computer generated, and the third looks metallic. The way they look doesn't seem like how a regular flower would behave. The softness of the petals seem to disappear. These are really awesome shots.
I'll be posting some colour ones later in the week, not the same images but taken at the same time. It'll be interesting to know what you think when you compare.
