Photographing todaisy

clidbladerlygonguumdumbumertmbydangen (1).JPG

I know, it's a stupid title but...well, I don't care too much I guess, it does the job. Anyway, todaisy I decided to photograph some daisies that had sprung up in my garden; the slightly warmer weather has started the process of my garden coming back to life and I like to grab a few snaps when that happens...so that's what I did...todaisy. It's such a dumb title but as you can see, I'm owning it, by persisting.

It was a fairly breezy day so I had to pluck these and bring them inside to photograph which means that todaisy is these flowers last day of life, being torn from one's plant and life-source often heralds the end I guess but they didn't die in vain, I got a photo or two.

If you've got any comments feel free to leave them below or maybe you'd like to comment about your own garden and how it's going to be effected with the change of seasons and maybe you have a photo from it you'd like to share. Either way, feel free to drop it below in the comments.

The name checks out, you’ll get a pass.

I love seeing the daisies when they sprout - it means the good weather is on the way before it gets pretty hot. We are staring down the face of autumn here and I’m looking forward to it for sure, but savoring the last few weeks of summer weather. Autumn is my favorite for sure where we live though, beautiful places, weather and events.

I sat for ages trying to think of a better title...Like a whole ten or twelve seconds, then decided to roll with what you see. #whocares

Autumn is awsome, but then comes winter...and for those in the northern hemisphere that often means a really cold time of year. That happens here too, quote cold in the State of Tasmania in winter, but it can still be 30 (celsius) in the north and in my area between 12-20 so not too bad. (We still whine about the cold though.) Lol.

The flower was very beautiful, the correct head line was the new word. Nice shots

I love that color and how it complements the green of the leaves. Without a doubt, beautiful photographs for a beautiful flower

Purple and green seem to go together nicely. In fact, I heard that purple is the only colour that goes with every other colour. I'm not sure if that's true but it seems to be.

Wow, I hadn’t thought about that, but I think you’re right

Hi Galen, I like the photos, nice color of those flowers. I'll leave you a silly comment, I usually photograph the flowers of a cactus that accompanies me and save them for the winter. I am not clear why.

Regards.

Cacti have such great flowers, one just has to put up with a rather uninspiring looking play in between them flowering.

Quite an obnoxious title but you get a point for originality 😂😂

Lovely images though 🤩
Rain's falling in abundance today in my area..

Obnoxious huh? Fair call.

I find the same about some of the comments I receive.

The daisies look beautiful, all three pictures are nice, I was struck by the last one unopened and how the colours stand out with the green.

Here with the heat and humidity I water my pots every day, I don't have any flowering plants at the moment, they are all green, succulents and potus, but I am doing very well with them and they give me beautiful green colours. They withstand the winter very well, I just water them less. I cut them back if they are too long and make new plants from their prunings, or change the soil if necessary.

Your garden will look great in no time!

We have gotten a couple cold nights this week, so I have a feeling before long things will start dying off. The leaves in the woods behind us will fall into the garden and what's left of the weeds will start to turn brown. Those are some nice shots you got there! It's funny how things are opposite on different sides of the equator.

It's weird, as the world gets smaller due to technology it's more apparent how different things can be.

Yeah, I think that is a good point!

I wish I could be a snowbird. For you it is starting to warm up and here - it is cooling down. Today is going to be a max of 23. After so many weeks of summer heat that'll feel really cold.

I love purple daisies. I love purple, period. Though I have to say that yellow green on the bud in the last picture is quite striking.

Thank you for your nice comments, and I like purple as well, goes with everything and just looks nice. Daisies up close really are quite interesting flowers; it's incredible how much the naked eye misses that the camera picks up.

Enjoy your 23 degrees, seems just about perfect to me.

It's pretty hard to maintain a garden on a boat, but many long-term sailors definitely have them. I'm not a big fan of flowers, but you have some high-quality photos.

I imagine a single pot on a shelf somewhere with a plant desperately trying to survive sort of like that Kevin Costner movie, Waterworld. Lol.

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it even though you're not into flowers.

Your todaisy is very beautiful and it did perform a very vital function; showing off those purple shades for which it's known for.
You are progressing in taking beautiful shots... 😁

Purple is a nice colour and daisies usually photograph well, the macro camera picks up when the naked eye misses.
