Espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy, les comparto el proceso de este rostro que realice como una práctica que tuve con una modelo en donde nuestro objetivo era construir el rostro de ella usando solo lápices de grafito. Hello my creative friends at hive! I hope you are feeling well today, I share with you the process of this face that I made as a practice I had with a model where our goal was to build her face using only graphite pencils. So without more to say, I hope you like it and I invite you to read me! ❤️✨

Materiales/Materials

Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 5 HB y un borrador moldeable, una barra de carboncillo suave y media y corrector líquido blanco.

What I used to make the traditional drawing on a 35 x 28 cm cardboard sheet, a 5 HB graphite pencil and a moldable eraser, a stick of soft and medium charcoal and white liquid corrector.

✨Paso a paso/ Step by Step✨

Comencé la construcción del rostro de la modelo en la sesión de dibujo y hice algunos detalles más marcados para poder tener el rostro definido y poder continuar de detallarlo luego. Para comenzar empecé primero con los ojos acentuando la mirada y agregando sombras y construyendo los valores poco a poco, luego continúe con las cejas detallandolas y agregando sombras, me concentre en trabajar el rostro de manera aleatoria para poder concentrarme en cada zona sin trabajar demasiado en una sola zona. Construí las sombras en su rostro suavemente para ir construyendo las sombras e irlas acentuando y oscureciendo.

I started the construction of the model's face in the drawing session and made some details more marked in order to have the face defined and to be able to continue detailing it later. To start I started first with the eyes accentuating the look and adding shadows and building the values little by little, then I continued with the eyebrows detailing them and adding shadows, I concentrated on working the face in a random way to be able to concentrate on each area without working too much on any one area. I built up the shadows on her face gently to build up the shadows and to accentuate and darken them.

Fui construyendo el cabello haciendo los cabellos y oscureciendo algunas zonas para darle un toque más realista, asimismo agregué algunos cabellos sueltos para detallarlo más. Construí los labios dándoles textura y detalles, agregué sombras usando la barra de grafito y difuminando con el dedo para suavizar las líneas, fui acentuando algunas sombras en sus ojos, las ojeras y los párpados y así busque crear su expresión relajada y sería.

I built up the hair by making the hairs and darkening some areas to give it a more realistic touch, I also added some loose hairs to detail it more. I built the lips giving them texture and details, I added shadows using the graphite stick and blurring with my finger to soften the lines, I was accentuating some shadows in her eyes, dark circles and eyelids to create her relaxed and serious expression.

Este es el resultado del dibujo, continúe de detallar su cabello y con el borrador moldeable limpié algunas zonas para poder darle brillos y así detallar los mechones de su cabello recogido, asimismo use el borrador para crear las luces en su rostro y en sus ojos, agregué detalles en su rostro como algunos lunares y algunas sombras en su nariz para crear mejor la iluminación en su rostro. Para terminar di unos últimos detalles con el lápiz haciendo las pestañas y agregando algunos cabellos sueltos. La construcción del rostro en mis clases de dibujo siempre me parecen de lo más entretenidas porque es un tema que siempre me ha gustado y que a pesar de que siempre estoy aprendiendo algo nuevo de ello en cada clase me siento siempre como pez en el agua por el tiempo que tengo haciendo retratos asi que la construcción del rostro es algo que parece sencillo pero no lo es, debes buscar la iluminación, la dirección de la mirada y todo el semblante y capturar la emoción de la persona en cuestión, aún así es bastante fascinante todo el proceso de hacer y detallar un rostro.

This is the result of the drawing, I continued detailing her hair and with the moldable eraser I cleaned some areas to give it shine and detail the locks of her hair, I also used the eraser to create the lights on her face and eyes, I added details on her face like some moles and some shadows on her nose to create better illumination on her face. To finish I gave some last details with the pencil making the eyelashes and adding some loose hairs. The construction of the face in my drawing classes always seem to me the most entertaining because it is a subject that I have always liked and although I'm always learning something new about it in each class I always feel like a fish in water for the time I have doing portraits so the construction of the face is something that seems simple but it is not, you must look for the lighting, the direction of the look and the whole face and capture the emotion of the person in question, even so it is quite fascinating the whole process of making and detailing a face.
