House Flipper: Sauna and base build [Let's Play Games #45]
Heya hard-workers! π
Hope you didn't get too scared after my previous post where we were literally covered in trash and garbage being needed to do some massive cleaning and renovations into a bunker that was turned into a Laser Tag center, because today we'll step away from that kind of activity and actually do something nice into a really big house.
It's actually also a premiere as we'll have to build a sauna in one of the rooms, so plenty of new things to learn while having fun picking the best things you think they might work together for a new homeplace!
But as every post can't start without sharing a picture with the email received from my client, there is this man Lucas Utne that shares his story related to the house that we need to take care of putting a lot of accent on the sauna because it looks like these are very popular in the place where he's living so it's sort of a must for every house.
I usually don't take this kind of in-game pictures with the building I have to take care of as there is not too many cool things you can see outside and the whole action is taking place behind that main door, but I thought it would be nice to see how big the house is so it will make sense the long post that I will end up creating as there are plenty of empty rooms needed to be turned into something nice.
So let's first get into the garage and see how our new journey in House Flipper begins, shall we? π€
As you can see, there are no empty boxes, stains, spiderwebs or cockroaches waiting for our arrival, so, at least we can enjoy doing some renovations without having to first get through the dirty process, yay!
The single request here was to paint the walls with white and gray, so while I could simply paint two walls with white and one with gray and then move on, I decided to bring a personal touch and added some more gray details on the white walls as well for a bonus of creativity and to stay away from the boring garage looking.
However, as I always feel weird not coming with a few more things from the shop other than the requirements of my client, I added a poster with a muscle car on the grey wall and two flowers on the sides.
Though, Mr Lucas mentioned something about having a trash container in every room, so I made sure not to miss this aspect as most likely it will cost me when I see the profit at the end of the project called Sauna and base build.
But as the whole fun happens only behind the white door, it's time to make our way to the house and see what it awaits us!
I don't know if you understand how happy I am not to deal with trash and garbage anymore in this game, so even if there is a lot of empty space where each section has its own requirements, this will turn out into lots of time spent on this job, but I'm happy for being the one to take care of another house in this game. π
So, the previous picture was basically the main corridor from the house, which I took care of first.
This time I had to follow a visible longer list of requirements, such as adding floor panels, painting the walls and buying three objects (ceiling lamp, trash bin and shoe cabinet), but as you probably expected, I couldn't limit myself only to these even now. π
Therefore, along with the requested ones, I added a few more plants, a wall poster, a clock and a mirror, because what corridor is that if you don't have a clock and a mirror over there? lol
However, as there was plenty of more work to be done, I decided to wait no more and move to the first properly room and start renovating it, which was nothing else but a bath.
I don't know why but I really liked the picture from above, and it was funny to walk the whole house with a flashlight turned on because there are not even ceiling lamps in the house, but that was a good lesson to first purchase the wall lamps before starting to properly renovate a room, haha.
... enough with the jokes! It's time to get this job seriously and focus on what needs to be done. Or at least try, heh! π
The requirements here were to add wall tiles as the floor ones were already there (no idea how come?), but also to mount a toilet and sink. I know this is not visible in the picture attached but there was also a shower that I purchased by myself to have a complete looking bath even if it's just 4 squared meters wide.
In plus, I added the usual things you see in a bathroom such as the towels, extra toilet paper (you never know when you need more π) but also the mirror which is perhaps one of the most important things for me in such a place.
While both the walls and floor were kept on the same line of white and grey colours, I didn't take further the things purchased and decided to have them all in the same neutral style.
The next room I got into and had to renovate was actually a bedroom which I forgot to take a before picture of, such a shame! π
Anyway, my activity here was based again on lying floor tiles and painting the walls but also to purchase a bed and a wardrobe. As the size of the room was very advantageous, I took this a little bit further and added more details that you can see in the picture.
There is also a paint can perhaps you will see in the pictures taken for particularly this job because I expected to have most of the walls (if not all) required to be painted with grey and white colours so I simply turned that can into my working partner and took it with me in all the rooms renovated, lol π€£
Even if we had plenty of fun so far, it's time to approach a little bit more to the place that I was the most excited about taking care of, namely, the sauna.
This is not really the place shown in the picture, but you will notice that it's really close to it. This is actually entitled as a corridor but which makes the subject of a very relaxing place that can be recognized as a secondary bathroom in the house, but which you'll see it gives you a different mood than a common bathroom.
... and here we go!
This is actually my favourite place from the whole house. Not because of being a premiere renovating bathrooms because these are almost never missing in my House Flipper jobs, but because it has a different vibe you deal with.
I don't know if I'm the single weirdo here but the bathroom is one of the most relaxing places for me. I can spend hours taking a bath without feeling when the time passed. It's like you wash away your negative thoughts and stress you are used dealing with, and I'd die having a place like the one created in this game.
Just to make an idea what it was requested to do in this room, the wall and floor tiles were the main requirements being followed by mounting a toilet, sink, shower, washer and bathtub. But I couldn't see a boring ceiling lamp working here so I added a few spotlights on the most important places from this room which created a verry chill atmosphere being completed with lots of burning candles and other details for a proper bathroom. π
Anyway, a few paragraphs above I mentioned that this is taking us closer to the sauna part of the task which was actually next to the shower.
That room made no exception being entirely empty but I opened up the market and had no mercy purchasing all the things sauna related from the game, and this is how everything turned out.
If I could change something to this mission, it would be to create the sauna in a way bigger room as everything seems a little bit too crowded in this part of the house, but I still like the vibes it's sharing.
I've never been to a sauna or had SPA activities so I have no clue how close to reality this was designed, but I like the transparent door and having everything mostly dominated by burning candles as well. Yet another way to set free your worry and dark energy! π
I know that most likely you will think that this was it and our job ends here because I was also expecting that, lol, but we still have a few more rooms to take care of. Perhaps, we have done around 70% of the job already.
So this room is basically the thing we've seen in the first picture with the corridor because over here we will have an open space kitchen with a living room that will connect with one of the first parts of the house renovated already.
The list of requirements increased a little bit more this time, with 18 objects being needed to be purchased, so it's time to do some shopping! π€
Even though this is a picture where you can also see the living room, the first thing I took care of was the kitchen that I designed keeping the same neutral line I used for the whole house.
The single request here was to have the furniture and usual things installed such as the sink and gas cooker but as the beauty stays in small details, I spent a few tens of minutes purchasing a lot more things you see in any normal kitchen, such as the cutlery, crockery, frying pan, espresso machine, towels, and of course, the never missing small plants and posters.
The other half of the room wasn't neglected either, the fireplace being the single one already installed.
The requirements were to get the library, TV and sofa but as spending time in a living room is also one of the most chilling things you do, I added a lot more details here than requested, having some drinks on the table, more flowers and frames on the walls, but also a console and some gaming controllers which unfortunately can't be seen in the pictures.
This is, perhaps, the first thing I'd do for my house if there would be a living room, namely to set it up with some gaming accessories to make sure the boredom will always stay away! π
Aaaaand, we are finally stepping in the last room that needs to be renovated before hitting that complete button.
This is actually another bedroom that I thought about keeping in the same style, with the blue colour being the most predominant one. There were no personal details in the email received from Mr Lucas such as if he's moving with his family or if he has kids, so I think this is quite a minimalist and basic looking room that could be used by anyone, no matter what their age is.
In the previous picture, you can see the full list with requirements for this part of the house on the right side of the monitor, and since there was this object to buy a chair on here, I thought that it would work the best next to a desk.
However, as gaming is one of my biggest passions, everytime I see a desk I can't really think of it working other than with a nice gaming station on it, so I ended this job by investing some bucks in technology. π
A pretty nice profit earned, which keeps increasing the more I advance in this game, but I think it's well deserved thinking of how much time I spent on this job. Can't wait to invest this money further though and move on with new projects that I can't wait to discover! π

I like this game very much. I don't know if you've noticed that I like to build things in Minecraft, I wish there were real designs like this and give better shape to the interior of the buildings. I see how you design everything so beautifully and I like how you put everything in its place. Good Job ππππ.
Oh, Minecraft was one of my first games played actually. It's incredible how much this game resisted over the years and that there are lots who are still playing it in 2022 π
After Minecraft I moved on to Sims where I basically enjoyed the game only on the part of designing the characters and building the houses haha. Now with House Flipper, I finally got a game that it's focusing on the activity I like doing the most: building and designing π
Thanks for stopping by and commenting also on this post! π
WOW what an impressive level of realism, I did not know the game, I liked the remodeling of the bathroom and sauna
If you like playing simulators this game is definitely for you :)
