House Flipper: Necessary extra bathroom [Let's Play Games #39]
While in my previous post we sort of had a very hard working start of the new year, this time we are enjoying less dust, dirt and trash and actually bring more colour to a house, as well as creating a bathroom, which is close enough to what I would love to have in my own house too!
It's true that when I got this game I was excited to clean people's houses and give them a more fresh look, but during the time, I started loving more the idea of being able to set free my creativity and decorate every room in different styles, also being a pretty good exercise for the moment when I'll buy my own place and be able to decorate everything as I want. 😀
But since the subject of today's post is not how my dream house looks like, I attached the email I received from my in-game client called Mr Erik Camel who not only that he needed an extra bathroom for his new house but also have some rooms' walls painted differently than how they currently look like.
I never lived in a place with two bathrooms, but I think we all had this situation when we had the family or a lot of friends coming over which made you realize that sometimes it would come really handy to have a 2nd bathroom, so let's say that I've sort of understood Mr Erik. 😅
The first room I got into was quite a little one where I sort of figured out it's of a kid or a student and I can agree that those grey/dark white walls are not too inspiring when doing your homework or studying, so a change was definitely needed!
The colour picked by Mr Erik was Sleepy Blue which matched perfectly with the bed linen.
In plus, as you might perhaps already noticed, I like adding some more things other than the basic requirements I receive from my clients, and since I presumed this is of a student or a kid, I thought that he would be really happy to find a laptop and a book on his desk that would contribute both on his studying and relaxing hours. 😊
The next room I renovated was a tad bigger than the previous one and seemed like being the parents' room judging by the double matrimonial bed and the simplicity and modernism style of the whole place.
Though it still felt like something was missing and that the green plants are not enough to bring a splash of colour here...
And... done!
Isn't this looking a lot better than before?
I love the colour picked by Mr Erik which matched perfectly the little rest place in front of the bed that was exactly the same shade. I actually think this is what the room needed to look lighter and less sober.
The 3rd room that became part of my job here was of a kid where none of the wall colours was not going well along with the old furniture which was a different shade of brown than the floor, so I'm happy Mr Erik wanted to give this a new look by changing the walls' colour.
If I have to be honest, I don't think the two shades of purple are the happiest choice this time but they do look a lot better than the previous ones and at least they are matching with one of the toys, ha! 😂
In plus, if this room is of a girl, I'm sure she'll love the new wall colours!
Though, as painting the walls was not the main job here, it's time to move on to the serious things now, namely, to build a 2nd bathroom in the house.
In the email received from Mr Erik, he mentioned that there is a small storeroom next to the kitchen that I can use for building the bathroom, so I started by selling the shelves as well as breaking some of the walls to enlarge this a bit.
Breaking and building the walls is, perhaps, one of the most satisfying things you can do in this game. I discovered this skill a little bit later after I started playing House Flipper but it's a lot more fun because it gives you a plus in creativity and doing everything as you want.
... and here we go!
Building the 2nd bathroom in the house is complete!
I always loved the modern-looking bathrooms with not too many colours other than the neutral ones and this one is pretty close to what I envision for my own place too, except that I would prefer a bathtub instead of the shower, but this doesn't look bad either, especially that the glass is dark as well!
Overall, it was a really nice task and I'm happy that I took a break from the spider webs, trash, dirt and cockroaches that were everywhere in my previous job, and I can't wait to see what the next jobs will come with! 😃
