Dreams & Nightmares Case released in CS:GO - The most expensive case released so far? [Let's Play Games #44]

Hello CS:GO fans! It's time to start off the week with some great news made possible by Valve in the most played shooter game! 💪

There are just 2 weeks since the beautiful dream called Riptide Operation ended and like I was feeling Valve working on something already, today we can discuss about the brand new case added to the game which is perhaps the most expensive released so far.

Actually, the name of Dreams and Nightmares is after a contest that Valve hosted between 22 July 2021 to 21 October 2021 where Counter-Strike: Global Offensive enthusiasts could submit their entry by picking a weapon and designing its pattern.

Of course, this wasn't coming for free, because all 17 winners received $100,000 USD each from a total of $1.7 million. As much as I love both this game and creating graphics, I sort of missed these news and only found out about the contest recently, so I kind of feel bad that I didn't try my luck on this one, even though there were over 15,000 participants and the chances to be amongst the winners were quite little.

Though, this was the second CS:GO case contest, while the first one was a celebration of 20 years of Counter-Strike, called quite suggestive CS20 Case which happened in 2019. Usually, these weapons cases are either black or yellow, but since this was a contest, the Dreams and Nightmares Case also has a unique case gradient colour that makes it stand out from the others.

Anyway, while the skins you can find in the 37 weapon cases released so far are pretty random without following a theme or direction, the Dreams & Nightmares Case contest came with the request to have all the skins based on a spooky or fantastical motif, but this kind of graphics did evolve a lot since the beginning of the game when there wasn't too much diversity other than some tiger, camo, or pixel patterns you could find on most of the weapons.

But with the skins of the weapons breaking new limits and seeing the fans of the game be able to spend even a few tens of thousands of dollars for a virtual thing, CS:GO becomes a really cool way to invest your money and get some profits as it happens with the crypto world if you know how things work. 🤑

Anyway, during the time I had a few hundreds of skins for weapons having both losses and profits but since I play this game the most lately, I kind of get the addiction of buying new skins again and while I love seeing colour and stories being shared in graphics, this case is my favourite and I absolutely love every single skin from it!!! Just waiting a little bit more for the prices to become stable before doing some shopping! 😃

Here's a full list with all the skins you can get from the Dreams & Nightmares Case starting with the rarest ones. And since there is no case without the chance of either getting a knife skin or gloves which are the most expensive ones and the fastest way to get rich in this game, along with the 17 skins made by the fans there are added some more for the knives too.

As you can see, there are both skins which cost just a few cents but also those of a few hundreds of euros, the price being given by the wear of the weapon (Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scared) where FN is the one with the graphic intact and BS where the skin has scratches, parts of the design missing, and a lot cheaper way of looking. The price is also given if the skin has StatTrack or not, this upgrade counting the kills you make with that weapon.

Another thing that counts when the skins are decided how rare they are is the weapons you find inside of the case, the most valuable ones being of course, the main ones everyone plays with, such as AWP, AK-47, M4A4, M4A1-S, USP-S and GLOCK-18.

Personally, I got my eyes on the MP9 | Starlight Protector and XM1014 | Zombie Offensive which I absolutely love having the agents as zombies on it. So creative and nice looking! 😍
