Establecer relaciones con los demás de forma romántica es algo que no se me da, nunca ha sido uno de mis fuertes coquetear. No sé si el amor entre en esta anécdota pero por lo menos sentía atracción por esta persona que de seguro pensó que tenía algún problema, ya que mi comportamiento no estuvo acorde a ninguna lógica. Estaba hablando con uno de mis amigos cercanos de madrugada por teléfono cuando por alguna razón surgió este tema sobre conocer personas desde una perspectiva romántica, me comentó que a través de Facebook había comenzado a hablar con una persona a la que le reaccionaba memes que publicaba, así de simple, de allí pasaron a hablar por WhatsApp. Bromeando, le dije que a mí no me pasaban esas cosas, que aunque reaccionara a cada una de las fotos de la persona que me gustaba nunca iba a funcionar ese truco conmigo, porque para mi amigo esta práctica es un truco para conseguir interactuar con alguien y le ha servido mucho en el pasado.

Puede que estuviésemos algo afectados por el sueño, pero mi amigo me dijo que le diera ‘Me gusta’ a todas sus fotos en el Instagram… no saben lo que me arrepiento ahora por haber hecho algo así porque en ese momento debí ponerme en la posición de la persona y darme cuenta que sería bastante extraño despertarse por la mañana descubriendo que a las tres de la mañana alguien le dio ‘Me gusta’ a tus fotos desde hace cuatro años, pese a no haber tenido mala intención, claro está, porque me gustaba mucho y todavía creo que es una de las mujeres más hermosas que he visto en mi vida, pero fue demasiado. Eso es lo único turbio en lo que puedo pensar porque no soy de hacer cosas extrañas gracias al cielo, ya con esto cubrí la cuota para varios años. Existe una gran posibilidad de que sea la única que cometa errores así pero de cualquier manera les voy a aconsejar que si uno de sus amigos les incita a hacer algo al respecto de la persona que les gusta en medio de la madrugada ¡no lo hagan!

Describe cómo sería tu cita de horror perfecta

La propiedad en la que vive Walter de Ville es una hermosura atrapada en el tiempo que sería perfecta para este propósito, aunque sería bueno limitar el horror ¿no? Digo, si voy a estar disfrutando de los amplios jardines verdes para tener una cena preferiría bastante romance. Siempre he sido de apreciar la naturaleza al momento de planificar una cita, es agradable estar al aire libre, podría colocarse una mesa con un par de silla para tener así un lugar cómodo donde comer sin ensuciarse la ropa, habría una infinidad de bocadillos y de plato fuerte alguna pasta acompañada de un excelente vino, de postre me gustarían muchos bizcochos dulces que tengan chocolate por todos lados porque me encantan. La hora estaría alrededor del atardecer porque eso deja una sensación magnífica después en el ambiente propicia para quedarse hablando en la oscuridad, pero para no tener muchos inconvenientes con esto, adornaría los alrededores con luces que proporcionen luz para mirar a mi acompañante.

Tres características que debería tener tu vampiro ideal

En algunos universos, contrario a lo que usualmente se acostumbra, los vampiros tienen la posibilidad de mostrarse bajo la luz del sol sin que les afecte y eso me gusta porque la idea de que son seres confinados a la oscuridad sería un limitante importante, sobre todo si esta exposición solar se entiende como un elemento que puede llegar a matarlos como he visto en algunas películas. Además, debe tener cualidades físicas sobresalientes para hacerlo superior a los humanos porque de lo contrario se perdería un poco el chiste, por lo menos en cuanto a velocidad y fuerza para hacerlo difícil de vencer, compaginándose a la perfección con su instinto de depredador. Debería estar incluido dentro del paquete de ser un vampiro, pero para no correr riesgos innecesarios, diré que por último necesita de una inmortalidad que le permita atravesar los años hasta la eternidad a menos de que le claven una estaca en el pecho, claro está, siempre habrá algo interesante para mí en la idea de poder vivir por siempre porque significa poder ver el mundo en muchas épocas y sus descubrimientos.

That's why participating in this very special initiative was an easy decision... although deciding who was going to be the horror character I would go on a date with was not at all and it took me some time. I had to go to my memory thinking of all those I have met through movies, but honestly none of them convinced me because to tell the truth I would not like to have any encounter with people who could stab you in the back if you are careless, I mean, it's hard to be comfortable when next to you have a serial killer, psychopath, devourer of human flesh, and many other characteristics that make them perfect for horror but not exactly for a date. So, I realized I had to open my mind, holding on to anything positive about these characters.

Which horror character would you like to go on a date with?

I was about to get carried away by superficiality to choose the character of Jennifer Check, who is played by actress Megan Fox in the movie that in Spanish has the name of 'Diabolical temptation' of 2009 and is considered a cult in this genre of horror, but I decided to discard this option because in the background is only an evil entity in the body of a woman, plus although she was of age, to me the truth is that it does not seem entirely appropriate. On the contrary, the character played by the actor Thomas Doherty, a vampire named Walter de Ville who appears in a movie that I reviewed at the time and is called 'The Invitation' from the year 2022, is a better candidate if we leave aside that little detail that he is a bloodthirsty creature, considering humans as prey from which he can snatch their lives without problems... nothing to worry about right?

Yes, Walter de Ville may fall into the monster category, but taking it from the perspective of the cycle of life where predators have to eat, maybe he can be excused a bit, especially considering how charming he was at the beginning of the film, looking at times like a man in search of love. Mind you, I would have to be in the position of the protagonist, because her origins are what make the difference in the behavior of this vampire, probably if I met him being the ordinary human that I am I would be a snack, but we are talking about a date that could never happen, I will allow myself to dream of belonging to a family that made a pact long ago with this powerful creature that has the possibility of becoming immortal and immense powers.

Have you had any disturbing experiences in love or heard of any close to you?

You could say, yes. The first person I fell in love with after insisting he supposedly accepted me on a date, I was excited because he had long since taken my heart completely and I wanted a chance to explore as much as possible from a romantic perspective since I had never felt anything like that, it's not easy for me to fall in love with someone. I put together a group with some friends who were dating at the time to help me choose places to go, I knew absolutely nothing about the Capital District which was where we would meet and I knew that they spent every week going out to simple but beautiful places. I chose an area that was not so far away from where I lived so that I would not have many problems with transportation, even though I would have to cross half the world to go there, but I did not care about that. I ended up taking a cold shower when he told me that it wasn't a date, that he thought it was a joke on my part and that he hadn't taken me seriously... quite disturbing in my opinion.

I don't know if love enters into this anecdote but at least I felt attraction for this person who surely thought I had some problem, since my behavior was not according to any logic. I was talking to one of my close friends in the wee hours of the morning on the phone when for some reason this topic came up about meeting people from a romantic perspective, he told me that through Facebook he had started talking to a person to whom he was reacting to memes he posted, just like that, from there they went on to talk on WhatsApp. Jokingly, I told him that such things did not happen to me, that even if I reacted to each of the photos of the person I liked it would never work that trick with me, because for my friend this practice is a trick to get to interact with someone and it has served him well in the past.

Maybe we were a little sleep affected, but my friend told me to 'Like' all of his photos on Instagram.... you don't know how much I regret now for having done something like that because at that moment I should have put myself in the person's position and realized that it would be quite strange to wake up in the morning discovering that at three in the morning someone 'Liked' your photos from four years ago, despite having no bad intentions, of course, because I really liked her and I still think she is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life, but it was too much. That's the only shady thing I can think of because I'm not one to do strange things thank heavens, I've already covered my quota for several years with this. There's a good chance I'm the only one who makes mistakes like that but either way I'm going to advise you that if one of your friends urges you to do something about the person you like in the middle of the night don't do it!

Describe what your perfect horror date would be like

The property Walter de Ville lives on is a time-trapped beauty that would be perfect for this purpose, although it would be nice to limit the horror wouldn't it? I mean, if I'm going to be enjoying the expansive green gardens to have a dinner party I'd prefer quite a bit of romance. I've always been one to appreciate nature when planning a date, it's nice to be outdoors, a table could be set up with a couple of chairs to have a comfortable place to eat without getting my clothes dirty, there would be plenty of snacks and for main course some pasta accompanied by an excellent wine, for dessert I would like lots of sweet biscuits that have chocolate all over them because I love them. The time would be around sunset because that leaves a magnificent feeling afterwards in the environment conducive to stay talking in the dark, but in order not to have many inconveniences with this, I would decorate the surroundings with lights that provide light to look at my companion.

Three characteristics your ideal vampire should have

In some universes, contrary to what is usually customary, vampires have the possibility to show themselves under the sunlight without being affected and I like that because the idea that they are beings confined to darkness would be a major constraint, especially if this solar exposure is understood as an element that can get to kill them as I've seen in some movies. In addition, it must have outstanding physical qualities to make it superior to humans because otherwise the joke would be lost a little, at least in terms of speed and strength to make it difficult to beat, combining perfectly with its predator instinct. It should be included within the package of being a vampire, but in order not to take unnecessary risks, I will say that lastly he needs immortality that allows him to go through the years until eternity unless they drive a stake through his chest, of course, there will always be something interesting to me in the idea of being able to live forever because it means being able to see the world in many eras and its discoveries.
