Greetings to all members of the community, how are you? Talking about nature is always going to be something that catches my attention, that's why the #KISS Blogging Idea 51 immediately got me thinking. I have talked to people whose understanding of nature ends up somehow related to the way in which human beings interact with what is around us, something that seems to me not to be in accordance with the circumstances because as human beings have the ability to reason, it is evident that the way in which nature acts and responds is not going to be the same as ours. Anyway, this does not mean that nature has no conscience, since from my point of view it does, but it manifests it in different ways than we humans are used to.

I believe that if nature could speak through words she would be giving us a great sermon on a lot of situations that have arisen since the beginning of time, as if she were a mother scolding her children, but unfortunately she has to resort to subtle and not very subtle manifestations to show us that she is here with us, attentive to our every movement. It can be things that today have become so normal that most people do not pay attention to them, such as the fact that due to the occupation of spaces by humans, there are animals that have been displaced from their natural habitats. We do not go and relocate each one of the animals to a new space every time we decide to carry out a construction, they are the ones who leave in search of a place where they can be because they are aware of our presence.

However, there are animals that learn over time that in the spaces where we are, they can find food and that there are even people who give them food, which is why there are many videos of animals visiting people to ask for food because they know that they can provide it. They may not be able to communicate with humans in the same way we communicate with each other, but they demonstrate with their behavior that they are aware of what is going on around them and react according to the circumstances in which they find themselves. In the house that my parents have in Nueva Esparta State you can have a greater contact with nature because everything is surrounded by it, we have placed water troughs and food for the animals several times and they constantly visit the house to take advantage of these resources.

Nature is reacting

I firmly believe that tornadoes, droughts, heat waves, tropical storms and others that have occurred in recent years with greater intensity compared to what we have seen so far, is the result of bad practices that humans have had, regardless of the damage they have been causing to nature, all by continuing with a consumerist mentality that is taking us all to a point of no return. Nature is reacting to the constant changes in the environment that we have caused because in its own way it is aware of what is happening around it... fortunately for us something like in the movie 'The Happening' has not happened yet because then we would be in a bad situation, is a film that I recommend because I find it an interesting representation of nature defending itself against human beings and the damage we have caused.

I do not know if this has been one of the reasons why human beings seem not to have enough respect for nature, to think that it simply exists, that it does not know what we are doing to it every day and that it cannot respond to us, probably serves so that the people on whom the greatest responsibility for environmental damage falls, such as those who manage large corporations, do not feel bad about themselves, strengthening that belief, for me mistaken, that what is happening around the world with the pollution of the environment has nothing to do with them. That is why I believe that more should be said about nature as something conscious that should be respected as we human beings should respect each other, although it is clear that in reality things happen very differently from what it should be.
