Battle Mage Secrets : COUNTERSPELL | Go Home Mages It's Not Your Day Today
Hello there my Splinterlands Fam.
How are you today.? I hope you all are doing great.
With retiring the Share Your Battle weekly challenge, the Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge is live. I must say, the new challenge is much more competitive and challenging because it's not about a card but about a specific ruleset. And you have to fight more battles to pick one to share. It's fun writing though.
I surely will miss the old Share Your Battle challenge.
This is the 7th week of this challenge and this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge is about the Counterspell ruleset.
Just like the previous challenges in this blog, I'll discuss about the Counterspell ruleset and share the best battle playing in this ruleset.
So, read on...
A Few Words About The Counterspell Ruleset
In the 'counterspell' ruleset all monsters have the magic-reflect ability. That means if you use any magic-attack monster/s in your team, it'll adversely affect your team.
For the obvious reason, using melee and/or ranged attackers is advisable when the 'counterspell' ruleset is active. If there's no other choice, try using monsters with 'void' and/or 'void armor' abilities.
As there's a maximum possibility for the enemy to use melee and/or ranged attackers in his team, it'll be a clever idea to use summoners that buff the team with the 'thorns' ability (Mylor Crowling) or 'return fire' ability (Ilthain).
My favorite team in the 'counterspell' ruleset is from the Life Splinter Lorna Shine and her 'sneak' attack army.
I shared a battle with a similar strategy below.
THE BATTLE
Now I'm sharing my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won while the Close Range ruleset is active.
RULESETS
Mana Cap: 44
Ruleset :-
Counterspell: All monsters have the magic-reflect ability.
Active Splinters: Earth, Life, Dragon.
My Strategy and Team Setup
SUMMONER
Lorna Shine
When playing with a melee-attack-based team, Lorna Shine is my favorite summoner. She provides the 'divine shield' to the friendly monsters which is a battle-winning ability.

Key Points Of This Battle
Using Lorna Shine and her sneak attack team was the key point of winning the battle.
See the enemy used Lorna as well, but he used a team mix of melee, magic, and ranged attackers. That's why his attack power got spread.
Whereas, my sneak attack team destroyed the enemy team from the backside. Each monster on my team did their job perfectly.
Because of this good strategy, my team brings home winning.
And that's all for today, guys.
I hope you enjoyed reading this article. So, don't forget to keep me encouraged with your upvotes and comments.
I'm happy to share with you the strategy, and team combination as well as the gameplay of the good battles every week.

Thanks for sharing! - @yonilkar
No magic today, Lorna is an amazing summoner.
Indeed.
Though I prefer the magic attacks the most, Lorna is always my first choice while playing a non-magic team.
Thank you for stopping by and for the generous upvote @yonilkar bro.. I appreciate it..
