Exploring the Bishan neighborhood; first time trying Kim San Leng's Fried Kway Teoh Mee

Bishan is one of the places in Singapore that is quiet and not too crowded. The Bishan area is a relatively small neighborhood, so there is a high chance that you will recognize the faces of the people you meet on the road. This area is not yet developed like Orchard, Woodlands, or something like Woodleigh. Unlike the areas mentioned, Bishan has mostly HDB residential buildings. There are very few condominiums or commercial developments in this area.
I feel like Bishan is perfect if you wish to stay in a quaint neighborhood that is relaxing.

There are enough amenities in this area such as hawkers centers, shopping malls, public libraries, and then there is also Starbucks! As far as I know, there is only one Starbucks in this area located in the community center.

I took some photos of my walk. I also got myself a plate of Fried Kway Teoh which I bought at Kim San Leng hawkers food center. It was the spicy version, that's why I regretted it a bit because it turned out to be very spicy. My taste buds got numb before I even finished eating my meal. Anyway, I enjoyed the walk, the food, and the neighborhood!

” One can say that the city itself is the collective memory of its people, and like memory, it is associated with objects and places. The city is the locus of the collective memory.”
