A Delightful Dinner Night

Yesterday was a great day, we went to a family-friendly dinner after a long time. Basically, my friend invited us for dinner, he lives in another state. He came to our city for business purposes and then he invited us for dinner. We used to go to school and college together, it's not a very common factor here. Mostly after high school, people lose their friends but we were together. He also invited my brother's family, we share some common interests. My brother is older than me but we were at the same school, he was a senior and my friend had become our common friend.

Anyway, my friend invited us to the city, I and my wife we drove there, a 40-minute drive from our home.

The weather was sunny and beautiful, not too hot but not too cold as well. My friend gave us the location before and I knew the restaurant as well so it was not very tough to find it out. After all, we were so exhausted dealing with all family and recent issues so it was a great meetup after a long time.

Obviously the host was our dearest friend and his beautiful, lovely wife.

First, we walk a little bit here and there before going to the restaurant. My wife wanted to see the spot. She also told me to take some pictures as well. This small street caught my eyes. While walking on the street holding the hand of my wife, I realized what gives me the most joy and happiness. When I hold the hand of my wife, we both feel the connection, a connection that kept us alive so far, gives us joy and comfort and ultimate happiness. She is my world and I consider her my better half, a part of me always respects her because she is a lovable, powerful, and strong woman which I admire most about her. She is the one who understands me and holds my hand to give me comfort and love. She is the chosen one for me.

My friend and brother both arrived together. I was really happy to see my friend after a long time. All the food was ordered by my friend and his wife. We were guest after all.

The deliciousness of food and the smell of freshly cooked seafood really made us hungry, it was joyful to experience such momentum. We talked a lot and giggled like old days. We gave our girls space or maybe they left us alone for men to talk after all men will be men. The food was really good, mouthwatering, and full of ravishing flavors.

Ah, thinking about those days made us really nostalgic.
