Yes, forcefield will be the decisive skill for a lot of battles in higher leagues. Maxing out this card (although I can't use it at the moment) is my priority at the moment as well.

But word to the wise... it doesn't matter how expensive it seems now... imagine it at 10x before you decide you can't afford it now, lol. I have all my (rare) Beta summoners maxed out except Malric... instead I bought and maxed Pyre, thinking I'd get around to Malric later... Now he's level 7, with some extra and gonna cost me thousands to get that last stretch or I can just buy a new maxed one, for waaaay more than I can afford, and the irony of that isn't lost on me. lol
😀 yeah, you're right. The appreciation of most cards is built in. Djinn will be my first maxed out card alongside Lava Launcher, which already is level 4. Thanks for the tips.
