¡Buenas mis panas! espero que se encuentren bien, en esta oportunidad, vamos a hablar un poquito sobre las secuelas de Piratas de Caribe, ya cubrimos en este espacio, lo que considero como la Santa Trinidad de la Piratearía, es decir, las 3 primeras películas de esta saga, sin embargo, como bien ha ocurrido en el cine durante tanto tiempo, toda franquicia que emite dinero, necesita ser explotada a mas no poder, en especial si son llevadas como generalmente Disney ha llevado tantos proyectos estos últimos años, pero bueno, dicho esto, ¿Son de verdad tan malas las secuelas? ¿Fueron un desastre catastrófico o hay elemento destacables? todo esto y mas intentare explorar en la secuela de Piratas del Carie en Aguas Misteriosas, dicho esto mi gente, comencemos

Un inicio algo problemático

La película comienza con una especie de juicio en la que Gibbs va a ser condenado por Piratearía, no obstante, este esta siendo confundido por Jack Sparrow, y esta a punto de ser mandado a la Horca, no obstante, el verdadero Jack, se infiltra como Juez, llevando a cabo un juicio de lo mas cuestionable, y trata de rescatar a Gibbs de una muerte segura, el plan era escaparse hacia la costa, pero en medio de todo, son encerrados y ahí nos enteramos un poco de las noticias de esta entrega, que para empezar, el Perla Negra, ha sido, de alguna forma, desaparecido de la faz de tierra, incluyendo a su tripulación, salvo Barbosa quien supuestamente es el ultimo superviviente, pero que lamentablemente para el personaje, ha traicionado sus principios, y se ha unido a la corona británica como Corsario de Rey de Inglaterra, un cambio a mi parece muy perjudicial e innecesario, pero bueno, el caso es que Jack confirma que ahora tanto Españoles como Ingleses están en una carreara hacia la fuente de la Juventud, y aunque este rechaza ir con ellos, al final, termina uniéndose a una de las tripulaciones mas despiadadas del Pirataverso

Jack se une al Venganza, una tripulación comandada por Barbanegra, uno de los piratas mas temibles de todos los mares, temido incluso por los propios piratas, el caso es que este hombre tiene a su disposición una espada capaz de controlar por si misma casi todas las partes de la nave, sometiendo todo posible motín que se presente, y peor aun, castigando a todo el que se atreva a traicionar quemándolo vivo, Jack se une a esta tripulación debido a su Ex-novia Angelica, que tiene, literalmente, Daddy issues o algo así, toda la trama se va desarrollando basado en quien llega primero a la fuente, quien consigue los objetos que dan acceso a esta y poco mas, sin batallas memorables, sin giros o traiciones realmente sorprendentes, nada de eso... y creo que por eso la película falla rotundamente en hacerte sentir interesado por la fuente de la juventud y la inmediatez que tiene cada personaje de ir por ella... pero, ¿Es todo tan malo?
Jack joins the Revenge, a crew commanded by Blackbeard, one of the most fearsome pirates of all the seas, feared even by the pirates themselves, the thing is that this man has at his disposal a sword capable of controlling by itself almost every part of the ship, subduing every possible mutiny that presents itself, and even worse, Jack joins this crew because of his Ex-girlfriend Angelica, who has, literally, Daddy issues or something like that, the whole plot is developing based on who gets to the source first, who gets the objects that give access to it and little else, no memorable battles, no really surprising twists or betrayals, nothing like that. ... and I think that's why the movie fails so badly to make you feel interested in the fountain of youth and the immediacy that each character has to go for it.... but is it all that bad?
Había potencial, pero se desperdicio en cosas ridículas

Honestamente, Piratas del Caribe 4 la tenia como poco complicado para llegar al nivel de la trilogía, o siquiera de la primera película, pero entre tantas cosas que le restan a la película, si veo que habia buenas ideas, como por ejemplo tener un villano realmente despiadado y malvado, irredimible si bien se quiere, Barbanegra si te da ese aspecto de ser un pirata Imponente, con características paranoicas y a la vez, místicas, no obstante, se pierde después de su presentación, tampoco e dan chande a poner a pueba sus poderes, siendo despachado sin siquiera tener un combate naval en condiciones, señores, hablamos de piratas del caribe, ¿Dónde están mis peleas navales? ¿Dónde están los asaltos? ¿Donde quedo el pillaje?, nada de eso se muestra en la película, y me parece francamente un desperdicio de recursos, sumado a ello, tenemos una trama amorosa, mas forzada que matrimonio medieval, el Clérigo y Sirena no tienen nada que hacer en la película y les dan minutos de pantalla no se porque.... pero insisto, había ideas buenas, Barbanegra siendo una, la entrada en escena de los Españoles siendo otra, y tal vez la introducción de nuevos misterios, tesoros o maldiciones a la franquicia, ósea, había algo de potencial ahí, pero creo que el guion no pudo ayudar a nuestros ambiciosos amigos guionistas.
Honestly, Pirates of the Caribbean 4 was a little complicated to reach the level of the trilogy, or even the first film, but among so many things that detract from the film, if I see that there were good ideas, such as having a really ruthless and evil villain, irredeemable if you will, Blackbeard does give you that aspect of being an imposing pirate, with paranoid and at the same time, mystical characteristics, however, he gets lost after his presentation, he doesn't give you the chance to test his powers, being dispatched without even having a naval combat in conditions, gentlemen, we are talking about pirates of the caribbean, where are my naval fights? Where are the raids? Where is the plunder? none of that is shown in the film, and it seems to me frankly a waste of resources, added to that, we have a love plot, more forced than medieval marriage, the Cleric and Mermaid have nothing to do in the film and they are given minutes of screen time I do not know why .... but I insist, there were good ideas, Blackbeard being one, the entrance of the Spaniards being another, and maybe the introduction of new mysteries, treasures or curses to the franchise, I mean, there was some potential there, but I think the script couldn't help our ambitious screenwriter friends.

Disney y ya demostr que sabe hacer franquicias millonarias y dotarlas de una historia qu sea interesante, incluso sacando más de 10 peliculas que ocurren en el mismo universo, si no me creen, entonces no debe gustarles ninguna de las peliculas de Marvel, que bien, no es que me gusten todas, pero hay varias que dejan muy en lo alto la capacidad que tiene Disney para contar buenas historias, siendo honesto, creo que Piratas del Caribe 4 pudo ser mucho mejor de lo que fue, tenia suficientes elementos como para justificar una secuela, que si bien, de todas formas se iba a sentir forzada, podría en todo caso, omitir eso, si en cambio, nos dieran una historia en condiciones, Personalmente, yo hubiese optado por seguir las consecuencias de liberar a una Diosa como Calipso, exploraría mas el misticismo que la rodea, y luego, tal vez, abordaría el tema de la fuente de la juventud, el porque es importante para cada actor el obtenerla y que consecuencias tendría, pero bueno, la película, esta planteada de esta manera, y si bien, hubiese sido mejor que se quedara en una trilogía, le doy puntos por al menos intentar hacer que la franquicia gane mas lore y misterios, al menos aporto.

Es una lastima que una franquicia como Piratas del Caribe haya tenido una cuarta entrega tan de bajo nivel, siendo que, en este universo de películas, hay todo una serie de historias originales y maravillosas que se pueden explorar, bien lo demostraron las anteriores entregas, que si bien tenían elementos fantásticos o místicos, no dejaban de lado el realismo o las situaciones humanas que se presentaban, aquí eso esta ausente en gran medida, lo que nos deja una historia de aventura, que se parece mas a una mala copia de Indiana Jones, que una historia de Piratearía, pero bueno, dentro de todo, no es lo peor que se ha visto, ustedes que opinan mis panas, ¿Les gusto la cuarta entre de universo?

A mi me gustó, pero como dices le faltó mucho potencial, tienes razón en ello. Si me dieran a escoger cual ver ahorita prefiere una de las 3 primeras entregas que está. Lo único rescatable son las actuaciones de Jack y Barbosa.
I liked it, but as you say it lacked a lot of potential, you're right about that. If I had to choose which one to watch right now, I'd prefer one of the first 3 installments. The only redeemable thing are the performances of Jack and Barbosa.
Como digo yo: si no la arruinan en la secuela, la arruinan en la cuarta entrega (rima). Y cómo fanático de la saga de "Piratas del Caribe" y del espectacular trabajo de Johnny Deep, ver esta película fue un calvario visual. Es más, me hiciste recordar uno de los peores finales que he visto en mi vida viendo películas.
Tienes razón en todo, incluso, cuando mencionas el tema de la Diosa del Mar, me hiciste pensar: vaya, tiene razón, no indagaron más en ese tema después de la tercera película. Y si, está bien que quieran cambiar el panorama y presentar nuevos personajes y contarnos una nueva historia que expanda este universo por más años, pero este intento por cambiar muchas cosas que funcionaron antes, evidentemente, no funcionó para nada bien.
Incluso, puedo atreverme a decir que la quinta película es mucho mejor que esta. O, mejor, hubieran dejado morir la franquicia en la tercera con el tremendo final que nos dieron, pero bueno, hablamos de Disney que es el que revive franquicias muertas solo para volverlas a matar pero de la peor forma, nomás para sacarles más plata.
