Amigos de la comunidad Movies & TV Shows y lectores en general de #hive, espero todos se encuentren bien. En estos días he estado un poco más activo viendo algunos animes y películas, así que el día de hoy voy a compartir mi opinión sobre un film llamada Un sueño posible y lo mejor de todo es que es basada en una historia de la vida real. Debo confesar que ya había visto esta película hace años atrás cuando fue lanzada a las salas de cines, pero en estos días la vi en las plataforma y decidí verla nuevamente ya que me pareció que es una historia bastante interesante y bonita que vale la pena. Las películas basada en historia reales me parecen buenas ya que siempre nos dejan un mensaje y esta no es la excepción.

These days I've been a bit more active watching some anime and movies, so today I'm going to share my opinion about a film called A Possible Dream and the best thing about it is that it's based on a real life story. I must confess that I had already seen this movie years ago when it was released in theaters, but these days I saw it on the platform and decided to watch it again because I thought it is a very interesting and beautiful story that is worth it. I think movies based on true stories are good because they always leave us a message and this one is no exception.
Un sueño posible trata sobre la historia de un chico negro llamado Oher que es acogido por una familia rica, los Touhy, quienes al ver las condiciones a la cual se encontraba este joven, decidieron ayudarlo, tanto en el colegio, como para que se convirtiera en una deportista ya que debido a su gran tamaño era ideal para jugar fútbol americano. Al inicio esta familia no estaban tan seguro de lo que estaban haciendo ya que desconfiaban del chico, pero poco a poco este fue ganándose sus corazones para cambiar completamente sus vidas, siendo esto una de las cosas que más me agrado de la película.
A possible dream is about the story of a black boy named Oher who is taken in by a rich family, the Touhy, who seeing the conditions in which this young man was, decided to help him, both in school and to become an athlete because due to his large size he was ideal to play soccer. At the beginning this family was not so sure of what they were doing because they distrusted the boy, but little by little he was winning their hearts to completely change their lives, this being one of the things that I liked most about the film.

La verdad es que conecté bastante con la trama de esta película desde el inicio hasta el final, más allá que la primera vez que la vi no sabía de qué se trataba, aun así este film logró totalmente captar mi atención. Como ustedes saben no suelo para nada compartir reseñas profesionales de películas ni mucho menos, tan solo comparto mi opinión desde mi experiencia. Esto último lo menciono ya que para muchos algunos film no son tan buenos como para otros, pero Un sueño posible me parece que tiene buena trata que cuenta la realidad, donde el mundo está lleno de estas cosas, ya que por suerte hay personas de buen corazón que tratan de ayudar a los demás sin obtener nada a cambio. Algo que si debo mencionar es que en algunos momentos me pareció que la historia como que avanzaba muy rápido y como me gustó tanto no quería que se terminara, pero por lo demás en este apartado me pareció que es realmente buena y vale la pena ver.
The truth is that I really connected with the plot of this movie from the beginning to the end, even though the first time I saw it I didn't know what it was about, even so this film managed to totally capture my attention. As you know I don't usually share professional movie reviews, I just share my opinion from my experience. I mention this last point because for many people some films are not as good as others, but A Possible Dream seems to me that it has a good treatment that tells the reality, where the world is full of these things, because luckily there are good-hearted people who try to help others without getting anything in return. Something I should mention is that in some moments it seemed to me that the story was advancing very fast and because I liked it so much I didn't want it to end, but otherwise in this section I thought it was really good and worth watching.
En cuanto al reparto, creo que hicieron un gran trabajo, principalmente Sandra Bullock quien interpretó a Leigh Anne Tuohy, tanto así que por esta interpretación logro obtener un premio Oscar como mejor actriz, lo cual considero más que merecido porque considero que tuvo una impecable actuación, logre conectar con ella y me creí lo que estaba viendo. Por otro lado tenemos a Michael Oher un personaje principal (protagónico) que fue interpretado por Quinton Aaron y quien su trabajo me pareció bueno, aunque no tan épico con el Sandra. Estos dos primeros personajes son los que más relevantes me parecieron, la historia se centra un poco más en ellos dos, aunque claro que tenemos la participación en escenas de los otros integrantes de la familia Tuohy como son Sean (interpretado por Tim McGraw) quien es el marido de Leigh, SJ. Tuohy (Jae Head) quien es hijo menor de la pareja y finalmente tenemos a Collins Tuohy (Lily Collins) siendo la hija mayor. De estos tres últimos personajes me gusto mucho la participación de Jae Head quien le dio vida al personaje de SJ y quien su participación en esta película fue buena, sin des meritar el trabajo de los otros dos, aunque su participación en la trama me pareció menos relevante.
As for the cast, I think they did a great job, mainly Sandra Bullock who played Leigh Anne Tuohy, so much so that for this interpretation she managed to get an Oscar for best actress, which I consider more than deserved because I think she had an impeccable performance, I managed to connect with her and I believed what I was seeing. On the other hand we have Michael Oher a main character (protagonist) who was played by Quinton Aaron and who I thought his work was good, although not as epic as the Sandra. These first two characters are the most relevant to me, the story focuses a little more on the two of them, although of course we have the participation in scenes of the other members of the Tuohy family such as Sean (played by Tim McGraw) who is the husband of Leigh, SJ. Tuohy (Jae Head) who is the youngest son of the couple and finally we have Collins Tuohy (Lily Collins) being the eldest daughter. Of these last three characters I really liked the participation of Jae Head who gave life to the character of SJ and whose participation in this film was good, without detracting from the work of the other two, although their participation in the plot seemed less relevant to me.

A pesar de que tal vez piensan que esta es otra película que trata sobre una familia rica que ayuda a un pobre, pero la verdad es que el fondo que nos muestra esta película es lo que podemos ver en la realidad, donde en los Estados Unidos aún existe el racismo por las personas negras, las personas pobres y al ser de color son rechazados, pero esto no le importó a esta familia, aunque claro que al principio existía la duda, pero estas se fueron disipando a medida que fueron conociendo a Michael y se dieron cuenta que era realmente un buen chico que no la había pasado bien desde pequeño, por eso era tan callado, no le iba para nada bien en los estudios, pero por suerte conoció a estas buenas personas. En un principio me platee la pregunta ¿Será que los Tuohy haciendo esto por algún interés? pero al desarrollarse la trama me di cuenta que no, aunque en el camino suceden cosas que pueden aluciar a que realmente quieren es un interés, más que todo al inicio.

At first I wondered if the Tuohy's were doing this out of interest, but as the plot unfolded I realized that they weren't, although things happen along the way that may suggest that they really want an interest, especially at the beginning.
He leído y escuchado por muchos que esta película puede ser considerada sobrevalorada, pero en realidad esto no me parece ya que esta película nos deja un gran mensaje que nunca debemos rendirnos y siempre debemos confiar y tener fe de que podemos salir adelante, tan solo necesitamos toparnos con alguien que nos empuje para retomar el buen camino. Sin lugar a duda Michael Oher debe estar muy agradecido de haber conocido a estas personas. El éxito de esta persona fue tanto que logro ganar un Super Bowl, aunque esto no es mostrado en la película pero creo que es importante resultarlo. Otra razón por lo cual destacaría es que no siempre toda película debe contar con grandes efectos especiales para destacar, tan solo con una buena historia y actores que sepan transmitir el mensaje que se quiere dar, el éxito puede estar asegurado y este fue el caso de Un sueño posible, pero vuelvo y repito, tan solo es mi humilde opinión de lo que vi de este film y lo que me dejo.
I have read and heard by many that this movie can be considered overrated, but in reality this does not seem to me because this movie leaves us with a great message that we should never give up and we should always trust and have faith that we can get ahead, we just need to run into someone who pushes us to get back on the right path. No doubt Michael Oher must be very grateful to have met these people. The success of this person was so great that he managed to win a Super Bowl, although this is not shown in the movie, but I think it is important to find out. Another reason why I would highlight is that not always every film must have great special effects to stand out, just with a good story and actors who know how to convey the message you want to give, success can be assured and this was the case of A Possible Dream, but again and I repeat, this is just my humble opinion of what I saw of this film and what it left me.

Un Sueño posible es una buena película que vale la pena ver, ya que cuenta con una buena historia que nos trasmite un excelente mensaje para que como sociedad cambiemos y podamos ayudar a las personas que lo necesiten, sin necesidad de conocerlas y sin importar de qué color son y de donde vienen. Por supuesto y tomando en cuenta lo dicho en esta reseña es que recomendaría esta película, ya que posee una buena historia, la interpretación de destacados actores y aunque no lo mencioné creo que el trabajo de su director John Lee Hancock fue una de las mejores de su carrera junto a la película El novato. Esta película me dejo el mensaje de que puede ser difícil a veces la vida pero nunca debemos darnos por vencido, los sueños pueden ser logrados ya que todo en esta vida es posible y también nos encontramos en el camino con grandes personas que nos pueden dar una ayuda desinteresadas. Otra de las cosas que me encantó fue cuando Leigh interpretada por Sandra Bullock mencionó que Michael le estaba cambiando la vida a su familia con su forma de ser más allá de todo lo que había pasado, seguía siendo una buen chico y con grandes valores. Espero que puedan ver este film si aún no lo han hecho.

Another thing I loved was when Leigh played by Sandra Bullock mentioned that Michael was changing his family's life with his way of being beyond everything he had been through, he was still a good guy with great values. I hope you can see this film if you haven't already.

Soy un fan intrínseco de Sandra Bullock, ella es la mejor a mi modo de ver. Me encanta, en esa película el mensaje todo es potente y todo es posible cuando se logran las cosas y se esfuerza. Aparte el papel de ella te deja un mensaje muy marcado que cada quien debe considerar. Te dice: sé más humano.
Muchos piensan la sobrevaloración, pero en realidad es realmente potente la conexión que deja sobre el arco argumental, tiene mucha fuerza porque son dos personas opuestas y ella realmente ayuda al protagonista a seguir adelante. Todo se puede alcanzar.
Si realmente concuerdo con tu mensaje. Esta película de Sandra Bullock me gustó mucho, la verdad es que es una excelente actriz y si para mí es la mejor.
Exacto hay que ser más humano, hay que saber ayudar a las personas y estás también pueden influir positivamente en nuestras vidas, cómo fue el caso de Michael, que cambio la vida de esa familia de alguna u otra menera.

Lovely review! I really enjoyed reading your thoughts and opinions on the movie. The way you described the relationship between Oher and the Touhy family was particularly moving. Also your point about how movies based on true stories can leave a message and this one did not disappoint me when I watched it years ago. I love the movie, one of the classics.

I remember that this movie was very successful. I know it's based on true events, but it's a type of movie I'm not a fan of. They paint too idyllic a world, racism is touched on superficially, they don't address the problem in depth, but I understand that this movie is made to appeal to the majority, it applies the formula that the audience likes.
Yes of course I understand what you are raising, I think it is a very valid point. As I said in the review this movie is considered overrated but I think with the message it gives is one of its strong points, besides the participation of Sandra Bullock. I think that maybe it didn't address the issue of racism in depth since the film wanted to tell us Michael's story and how he was helped by this family. Saludos amigo, esta película es muy bonito y perfecta para todas las edades, en especial aquellos jóvenes, que están luchando por un sueño y ver como este joven, no se da por vencido y consigue ese apoyo de dicha familia, que hará que su vida tenga un giro. Yo la vi hace un tiempo y cada vez que la pasan por la TV la veo, además la participación de ducha actriz, es perfecta y toma un buen papel. Como también todo está en la aptitud y las ganas que uno le ponga para hacer las cosas. Gracias por compartirla con nosotros.
Si la película vale la pena de verla e igual que tú cada vez que la pasan no me pierdo, es una de mis películas favoritas del género que jamás he visto. Este film deja un mensaje bonito que nunca debemos perder la fe y esperanza, siempre luchar por lo que queremos.

Hola, recuerdo que vi esta película, es muy emotiva. No considero que este sobrevalorada, o al menos yo no lo veo así. Me gusta que esta basada en un hecho real, eso la hace más especial. Coincido con lo que decís de que no se necesita tener grandes efectos especiales, solo con tener una buena historia, actores que sepan entregarse a sus personajes y que al final te toque una fibra sensible y te haga reflexionar creo que es más que suficiente. Me gusto tu análisis, y sin dudas es una buena película que tiene un mensaje importante que dar.

No he tenido la oportunidad de ver esta película, aunque si notaba mucho que la pasaban en reiteradas ocasiones por algunos canales de televisión. El mensaje es muy bonito, una película que aborda un tema empático y solemne, además de motivacional. Creo que es la primera vez que veo a Sandra Bullock con cabello rubio jejeje 🙈, es una gran actriz.
