La primera edición de este Gran Premio fue en 1986, donde el mayor vencedor ha sido Lewis Hamilton con 8 y en cuanto a escuderías, el posee más victorias es Mclaren con 11. Max Verstappen fue el ganador del año pasado, donde George Russell de Mercedes fue quien salió desde la pole. Finalmente el podio quedo conformado por Vertappen como ganador, Hamilton segundo y Russell tercero. La vuelta más rápida está en manos de Lewis Hamilton, con un giro de 1:16.627, logrado en el año 2020.

This F1 race will be the last date before the vacation that drivers and teams will have, but in reality we know that the work continues for the teams, who must bring updates for what will be the next half of the 2023 championship. But this does not stop here, because we will also have the 21st date of the NASCAR Cup Series in Pococo, one of the most anticipated races for all fans, due to the special configuration of the oval already mentioned. What can we expect from these two competitions? What can be the possible winners? This and much more I will address in this review, so I invite you to continue reading until the end, so you don't miss any detail.


First we will begin to analyze and give my personal opinion of the Hungarian Grand Prix 2023. In the first instance I can tell you that this race is highly anticipated by several of the teams, it is a fairly technical track, so everything can be quite even and can give the opportunity to other drivers to achieve victory, especially if rain occurs. Although reviewing the weather forecast for the locality, only for this Friday, July 21, rain is expected, Saturday will be cloudy, while for Sunday it will be sunny with a chance of rain of only 10%. This could change in the next few hours. Today free practice sessions 1 and 2 are being held, with the first ones already completed and waiting for the second session of the day.


The first free practice session had almost no activity at the Hungaroring circuit, all due to the rain. Neither the teams, nor the drivers, wanted to risk their cars and the weekend, so very few were the ones who drove in the practice. Mexican Sergio "Checo" Perez was the first victim of the day, after crashing his car in turn one, when the car spun under braking, a movement that seemed quite strange to me, but we know that this can happen with a wet floor. This action was also what led the teams to desist from spinning in this free practice. Mercedes' George Russell was the leader of this practice 1, followed by Piastri in second position and Lance Stroll in third place. On the other hand, Fernando Alonso was fifth and Max Vertappen was 19th. No analysis can be drawn from this session, we must wait for P2 or tomorrow to draw any conclusions.


This Hungarian Grand Prix is important because the teams usually bring new updates. The team of the energy drink and who are dominating both championships (drivers and constructors), have not been left behind, bringing updates in various parts of the car, all to give their rivals a chance to shrink the disadvantage they have with these. To be honest, I see no rival in this race for RedBull, unless something extraordinary happens, both cars have mishaps, either an incident or a mechanical failure, but we have seen how the reliability of Verstappen's car has been really good and Checo's has had more setbacks, but mostly due to driver errors.


Others who want to prove that the previous race was not at all a coincidence are the Mclaren drivers, especially Lando Norris who comes from a second place in the last Grand Prix. On the other hand we will see if Ferrari finally raises the performance of their cars, they can be fast in qualifying, as it has happened throughout the season, but in race pace is where they are more affected, their car degrades a lot the tires and for this competition they return the softer compounds if I'm not wrong. I think Aston Martin will do better this weekend and we will see if Fernando Alonso returns to the podium and why not, finally achieve the long-awaited 33rd victory, in the races anything can happen.

La carrera lleva por nombre HighPoint.com 400. Será otra carrera en un superspeedway, aunque muy distinta a la carreras en Atlanta, Daytona o Talladega. ¿Las razones? se les comentaré más adelante.

Pocono Raceway es un óvalo estadounidense, que está situado en Pocono Mountains en Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Esta pista es un óvalo de 2.500 millas (4.023 km), es decir, es un súper óvalo. El primero a 30, mientras que el segundo y tercero son a 65 vueltas cada uno. Los ganadores de los segmentos 1 y 2 se llevan puntos extras para los playoffs, allí la importancia de quedarse con las victorias de los eventos. Pero obviamente el más importante es el tercero porque allí sabremos quien se llevará el triunfo en Pocono. ¿Quién visitará victory lane el domingo? Veremos...
