Cool... I'm sure you hear them very strong when they are up in sky πŸ‘ŒπŸ€—β˜ΊπŸ˜„

No mistaking a war bird! A flight of them have a certain snarl, because each engine runs at a slightly different speed; and these combine to make the droning sound they give off.

That sound is rare enough, that I knew what they were before I went outside. Modern planes don't have the horsepower to make this sound if they fly together. They usually are gone fast enough that getting a picture isn't possible, but I got lucky because they circled to avoid Tulsa International airport's airspace. So I was able to get as few pictures, a real treat!

The new ones fly here too, and are interesting; but these old ones call my soul, because I study History.

I have had my hands on several of them, and they are even more impressive up close!

Still looking for them....

The new ones fly out of Tulsa International airport's airspace, in case they have to intercept a hijacked plane, and force it down. Also a National Guard wing flies from there, including helicopters.

All fun to see, but the old war birds are a real treat!
