Hi,whatsup, guys. Good to be back on the chatlists of theatre and moviephiles here in this tribe. How do you do, all? I know,all of you are busy in watching and enjoying movies and plays that you personally like most.Thats true that, we all have our own set of criteria's for movies.

I dont normally review movies that much, quite often what makes me feel light, by reading out other blogs that speak about the facts and the characters of a certain movie one watched during the holidays and the other weekend festivities. Whatever it is,I would like to gossip with you here in the context of a quite legendary film, based on a plot, I like mostly for having a different trend --a unique taste and portrayal of philosophy that speaks up for the greatness of life.

So, lets go and explore the ins and outs of the film Cast Away, a famous hollywood film acted by as protagonist, Tom Hanks,who is in fact one of my favourite actor,not for a solo reasons,but there are so many other factors that makes him great and I like those most.There are certain points - you might disagree,but still there are the similarity that would reflect some of the truths of life,in the most difficult way, life can have for offer.

The Idea Of The Plot.

Basically, I dont feel that there are much to think about the plot and in fact the few critics who think that their opinion would make the film down and fade the brightness, for those I say you are in the wrong way of looking at the things here.What I think is true that, its what the drastically stated scenario,the readily started film, with the advent of a casual life, that makes a film great and the film has this in offer.

As I kept watching it,first few scenes made a quite good impression in me and I thought I am going to see some of other films that says about, the regular life of a courier service and Fedex officer, the house environments, living life with the spouse, early morning haste days and eating breakfasts and bading the kids and wife to catch the car to reach at the office.

Or rather spending times in the holiday, the early afternoon time and the sky getting blue more, the beautiful garden with the flowers in it making a serene weather to attract beauties and people all over.Well, for Tom Hanks, it was just the same and he was lucky enough to have a life like that early on.Certainly, time went by and he began to see life getting changed by a sudden accident.

The Turn Of Fate.

Sometimes, in life things go very easy and its like that, same happening each day and the routine bound life all over the place, day in and day out.But suddenly things start to break on and something new comes up.Not all the times,the new makes a propitious future, rather "new" brings challenges, something that we just cant hold easily, but testifies our character, upto the last limit of our pushing trial and endeavour and by the process we end up knowing ourselves.

For Tom, it was crash landing on a very deserted island,where even not a single ship floats on the water for months time.Very rare to see the sign of the boats and steamer jets, moreover the island where he landed, was full of coral reefs, the tropical weather, green coconut trees and the sea side weathers that makes one feel so alone and lost.Well,nobody would want to fall into such kind of life ever, but it was the worst case scenario which took Tom to live the hell period of his life.

As the movie progressed on, right from the day when he crash landed on the island, what shocked him was the body of a fellow passenger who was also in his plane aboard, lying ahead in some distance. It was such a horrible scene and I am not sure what was going on in the mind of Tom that moment,the truth was he felt so heartless to see such hard behaviour of life.

Tom was alone and just with some trashes in his possession to live and when the future is terribly uncertain and the hope is so little, that living upto what period and the rescue, whether it would come or not,the suspense and the thrill of living, pain of being absolutely secluded ---well,quite a few people would tolerate such things and for Tom it was every day and each night.

The Story Of Hope.

Right from the day one of his endless survival, one thing he wad fully filled with-- Hope.Hope of not losing out the spirit, of rescue and being freed of the painful life, where in every second -there is the risk of dying, life seemed as simple as a flickering light, sometimes burns out loud, and sometimes only the thin lines visible. He went on surviving with his strenous effort,applying the real life knowledges that he learnt in the city.

He made shelters, he collected drinking water, and reserved it in a container,plucked some of the coconuts and with the use of sticks and stones,he could able to make fires and the next day, he continued to go fishing with some of his hand made tools to hold fishes. His joy knew no bounds -when he could cook fishes for eating. That was the period of his merriment.

Quite sometimes, his heart lifted up, when he remembered the fellow relatives, the memory of his wife, what made him to feel the vacuity deep inside his chest. He had a son and in that moment, he was not sure, whether he lived or not.In such cases, the story moved forward and quite a few years time passed.

One thing that makes me feel out of the movie, is the perception that--when anyone consistently lives somewhere and lots of days pass on, a habit is what develops on,days become so little, onece which seemed to be long. Despite having the habit,when nobody knows when the rescue would come, in such a scene ;even its not sure whether the auspicious day will ever come or not ;
Its when the hope starts to melt down and it was for Tom, when he started to feel the same.

The time of 5 years passed on and quite a lot of things happened in that time,life turned like death and he was just like a half -dead soul. He couldnt feel whether he was alive or dead, because senses were dark enough to make him understand that.Right at the end, its when he could see at the horizon,the most precious thing for him at tha moment-- a ship came by.

He thought that was an illusion and it will go away in a moment or more, but quite strangely it wasnt the same, rather the boat came nearer and it was such a big ship.The captain could see the red flag, with the help of a binocular and it was such a lucky event. Tom got the most ecstatic redemption of life,he could flash back at the time, the memory of 5 long years on the lonely island and now the freedom came.What a feel!!

My Last Say.

Well,for couple of reasons I would recommend anyone to watch the movie,firstly, the value of life would be understood. Sometimes, people despite living in lot of happiness, in abundance, in a good they lose the essence of living.That is to me,not good at all.

Life itself is the most precious, not anything else.So all the energy should be given to buid up the life and reinventing the lost things in life to the fullest of ones own ideas.Secondly,when little hopes are there for anyone, sometimes in life, we need to have the correct attitude to chase our dreams until the end. Its not the time we expect something good to happen,but at the last limit, when we start to give up on our dreams.

I would rate the movie 9/10. Whats yours?
