The Rwanda Fiasco, external courts should not control Britain’s borders.

This was never going to work. Priti Patel clearly thought that by stating she’d send illegal immigrants to be processed in Rwanda, the numbers of those crossing the channel would drop. She was wrong. It was another failed gimmick by a government trading in gimmicks.

In April, the government announced that it would send some refugees to Rwanda to claim asylum there. As night follows day, the entire left-wing establishment, the Church, the media, all went in to meltdown. “It’s an abuse of their human rights”. (The human rights of the indigenous people of Europe are never, ever considered).

Trying to sound like he ‘gets it’, or cares, Boris Johnson said “Rwanda will have the capacity to resettle tens of thousands of people in the years ahead” and any of those who arrive here illegally will be on the radar.

Knowing that 60% of the public is unhappy with the current leaking border, Johnson tried to mirror their concerns. “We cannot sustain a parallel illegal system,” he said “Our compassion may be infinite, but our capacity to help people is not.”

Both Johnson and Patel are pretending that they can remove people, but because of the international organisations and treaties we’re signed up to, they can’t, and they know it. This is that political theatre I keeping talking about!

Priti Patel is still bluffing, even though the first of her planned deportation flights never got off the ground due to rulings by the European Court of Human Rights – something we’re still signed up to despite all the talk of independence and controlling our own borders after Brexit. The jurisdiction of the ECHR in the UK remains and there is absolutely no chance that the Tories will take steps to change that.

Asked whether the government was considering pulling out of the ECHR, Attorney General Suella Braverman said all options were on the table and no firm position had been reached.

“We’re going to consider everything as exhaustively as possible to achieve our goal – that goal being to stop the illicit and criminal process of people smuggling across the channel,” she said.

What does that sound like to you? Rwanda is a gimmick and the crossings will continue unfettered. That’s what it sounds like to me. There’ll be no end to illegal immigration.

In order to really control our borders, Britain needs a government that disobeys globalist dictats and withdraws us from obligations that work against our interests. That government will not be formed any party in Parliament today.

In a nutshell: the core of the problem is a government that takes its orders from globalism and doesn’t concern itself at all about the future of the country. It has obligations that won’t allow it to act in our interests and has no intention of changing this legislation.

The situation is aggravated by a left-wing that is taking full advantage; bullying, intimidation, censorship and violence to shut down opponents.

Finally, external courts should not control Britain’s borders. That should be a given. But they do. Boris Johnson lied about independence and he’s still lying now.

Immigration is the most important issue we face, and the British public know it. The same British public however needs to realise it has the power to turn the tide, and some day soon it will.

And Julian Assange is straight out the door to what is almost certainly a death sentence. The priorities of the establishment make me sick to my stomach.
