Why are You on Hive?
Good evening everyone. I believe you are all good? This evening, I have decided to put up a few guide here that will be helpful to many Hive users, particularly the newbies. Before you can successfully navigate through Hive, the first and the most important question that you have to ask yourself is, why am I on Hive? If you are able to satisfactorily answer this question, then, I can assure you that your time here on Hive is going to be rewarding, definitely. Here are the few things I've learnt in Hive from the experiences I have had since I got introduced to Hive, and I want to share it here:
📌 First, you need to understand that apart from the financial benefits that Hive provides, it also offers you the opportunity to connect and build relationship with other Hive users. As a matter of fact, here on Hive, it is the connection that precedes the financial benefits. There will be no financial benefit until you are able to have a good rappour with other Hivians.
This is important because Hive is also a place for connection. If the only reason you are on Hive is to make money, I can assure you that you will soon quit using Hive.
📌 Growing on Hive is a process, it does not happen overnight. Attaining a high reputation on Hive, having good upvotes and engagements on your contents don't happen overnight, they follow due processes and you have to understand this. Understanding this will help you not to be discouraged when your contents that you assume are good enough do not receive the reactions and engagements they deserve.
📌Engage in the communities of your interest. Engage also in other people's content by dropping meaningful and well constructed comments. One of the ways to publicize your presence on Hive is by engaging in other people's posts.
In most communities, it is always compulsory that you drop comments on at least two other group members' post before you proceed to submit your own post.
📌 Make sure your posts are readable. Hive gives you the opportunity to write anything, but that does not mean you should write it meaninglessly and carelessly with no good form. Being ungrammatical and not constructive in your writing will only get people bored and you will always be ignored when you are noted as one whose grammar is not good enough.
📌 Always be original. Avoid the temptation of using AI generated contents. Writing isn't as difficult as you think, if you can talk, then, you can write. You do not know how creative you can be until you start engaging on Hive effectively. If you think you can hijack other people's posts on Hive and from other platforms without being caught, Hive watchers are there for you.
📌 Always ensure you read a community's rules. Don't post blindly in any group. Your content too has to be relevant in the group you are posting it, and make sure you use the right tags in your posts.
📌Lastly, you have to respect other people's views and opinions. Everyone cannot have the same standpoint on a matter because of many factors, such as ones cultural belief, etc.
Thank you so much for going through this content, I hope you find it helpful.
