Hello dear friends of HiveDiy, I hope you are all well, today World Environment Day is celebrated around the world, a date to value and become aware of our environment, how to respect it, conserve it and look for ways to live in harmony. with nature. Many ancient tribes have always taught to live in harmony, but in this civilization full of so much technology, which only takes advantage of resources, that has been left aside, especially in the most industrialized countries, which is why I want to share with you my latest job. With a mixed technique of manual work I have made a painting with the Woman as the main figure, representing Mother Earth, I have used a piece of recycled cardboard as a medium to create this painting. The technique consists of drawing a silhouette, which then using a knife we ​​will remove some parts with the purpose of showing the inside of the cardboard and this is part of the painting, to celebrate this day and become aware I have used, as always, the recycling and reuse, no matter how small, effort always counts, I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos de HiveDiy espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, hoy se celebra en todo el mundo el Día Mundial del Ambiente, una fecha para valorar y tomar consciencia acerca de nuestro medio, como respetarlo, conservarlo y buscar las formas de vivir en armonía con la naturaleza. Muchas tribus antiguas siempre han enseñado a vivir en armonía, pero en esta civilización llena de tanta tecnología, que solo se aprovechan los recursos eso se ha dejado de lado, especialmente en los países más industrializados, es por ello que quiero compartir con ustedes mi último trabajo. con una técnica mixta de trabajo manual he realizado un cuadro teniendo como figura principal la Mujer, en representación de la Madre Tierra, he utilizado como medio para elaborar esta pintura un trozo de cartón reciclado. La técnica consiste en dibujar una silueta, la cual luego utilizando una navaja iremos retirando algunas partes con el propósito de que se vea el interior del cartón y esto sea parte de la pintura, para celebrar este día y tomar consciencia he usado como siempre, el reciclaje y reutilización, por más pequeño que sea, el esfuerzo siempre cuenta, espero les guste.

I cut a piece of cardboard the size of a letter sheet 29 centimeters by 21 centimeters, the main materials are a pencil and a stationery knife. I used the sketch in the simplest way, only a silhouette composed of lights and shadows, the lights will be white while the shadows will be the parts cut from the cardboard.

Corté un trozo de cartón del tamaño de una hoja de Carta, 29 centímetros por 21 centímetros, los materiales principales son un lápiz y una navaja de papelería. El boceto lo use de la forma más sencilla, unicamente que una silueta compuesta de luces y sombra, las luces irán de color blanco mientras que las sombras serán las partes cortadas del cartón.

The next step after drawing is one of the most careful, it involves cutting the parts that will be the shadow in the drawing. With the stationery knife I gradually cut the silhouette following the line of the stroke. You must go slowly so as not to damage the cardboard, because otherwise it would be necessary to start again. After cutting the drawing you can indicate which part is going to be removed, so that we do not remove everything and we would make the mistake of leaving all the cardboard cut.

El siguiente paso luego de dibujar, es de los más cuidadosos, se trata de cortar las partes que serán la sombra en el dibujo. Con la navaja de papelería voy cortando poco a poco la silueta siguiendo la línea del trazo. Se debe ir lentamente para así no dañar el cartón, porque sino sería necesario comenzar de nuevo, luego de cortar el dibujo se puede señalar que parte se va a quitar, así no retiramos toda y cometeríamos el error de dejar todo el cartón cortado.

After cutting the entire silhouette of the drawing, it is time to gradually remove the layer of cardboard that I cut with the knife. To do so, I used a large needle to lift the cardboard slowly without damaging the base. As you can see, not all of the cardboard was removed, and when you see it from a distance you can see the female figure that I have called Mother Earth.

Después de cortar toda la silueta del dibujo es el turno de retirar poco a poco la capa de cartón que corté con la navaja, para hacerlo utilicé una aguja grande para levantar el cartón lentamente sin dañar la base. Como se puede observar no todo el cartón fue retirado, y al verlo a lo lejos se puede observar la figura femenina a la que he llamado Madre Tierra.

The last and most important of all the steps is to paint the illuminated parts, I used white acrylic paint and a brush, I slowly filled in all the spaces that corresponded to the light. Again, if you look from a distance you can see the end of the female silhouette of Mother Earth even better.

El último y más importante de todos los pasos es pintar las partes iluminadas, utilicé pintura acrílica de color blanco y un pincel, fui lentamente rellenando todos los espacios que correspondían a la luz. Otra vez si se observa a lo lejos puede verse aun mejor el final de la silueta femenina de la Madre Tierra.

This is how the painting of Mother Earth turned out to celebrate World Environment Day, a minimalist but very striking and creative design with material that we can find in our home. A small tribute for this day, although I just remembered that Earth Day exists separately, but that day will have its turn to do a special work. In this step by step they were able to confirm that the process for this job is very simple, only that you must have maximum concentration to cut the cardboard and not damage it, it has already happened to me before.
