Splinterlands Art Contest 250 - ASTRAL ENTITY Fan Art Drawing

Hello dear alien friends, I hope you are very well, in another week it is a pleasure to share in this unique community my entry for the Splinterlands 250 contest, this time with a very cool letter. It is the Astral Entity card, as its name indicates, it is a being that exists everywhere and in all dimensions, even outside of space and time, to make this fan-art I chose a black cardboard to better represent my idea, a comic-style face decorated with an image of the universe inside. To further highlight my work, I made part of the Milky Way on the face in the form of a scar that runs through the entire left eye. I leave you with the step by step, I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos alienígenas espero que se encuentren muy bien, en otra semana más es un gusto compartir en esta comunidad tan única mi entrada para el concurso 250 de Splinterlands, en esta oportunidad con una carta muy genial. Se trata de la carta Astral Entity, como su nombre lo indica es un ser que existe en todas partes y en todas dimensiones incluso fuera del espacio y del tiempo, para hacer este fan-art escogí una cartulina de color negro para poder representar mejor mi idea, un rostro al estilo de los cómics decorado con una imagen del universo en su interior. Para resaltar aún más mi trabajo, hice parte de la Vía Láctea en el rostro en forma de una cicatriz que atraviesa todo el ojo izquierdo. Los dejo con el paso a paso, espero que les guste.

PROCESS

I made a 3/4 face style portrait to better highlight the universe inside. I did the sketch with white wax pencil and taking as reference the American comic style, where many superheroes are represented in this way.

Hice un retrato estilo 3/4 del rostro para poder resaltar mejor el universo en su interior. El boceto lo hice con lápiz blanco de cera y tomando como referencia el estilo cómic americano, donde muchos súper héroes se representan de esta manera.

In each drawing we always need a safe port, there are those who set out to sail, and they can start from anywhere, but from my own experience I like to feel that they are eating from somewhere, that is why I start by painting the eyes that look like flames, filling them with an intense white color so that it differs from the rest of the drawing. Then I start to make what would be one of the parts of the Milky Way that is visible from our planet and that looks like an arm, so with white color I make those lines that cross the left eye, then I add a blue tone as the base of the whole drawing.

En cada dibujo siempre necesitamos un puerto seguro, hay quienes se lanzan a navegar, y desde cualquier parte pueden comenzar, pero de mi propia experiencia me gusta sentir que comiendo desde algún lado, es por eso que comienzo pintando los ojos que parecen flamas, rellenándolos de color blanco intenso para que se diferencie del resto del dibujo. Luego comienzo a hacer lo que sería una de las partes de la Vía Láctea que es visible desde nuestro planeta y que parece un brazo, así que con color blanco voy haciendo esas líneas que atraviesan el ojo izquierdo, después voy agregando un tono azul como la base de todo el dibujo.

As I said before, with a safe harbor to start with, I can now go through the rest of the colors, since I am going to draw the galaxy inside the face, here I use all the shades of blue and green, the latter are light turquoise and also a little darker. For the darker parts I use the dark shades of blue mixed with purple and magenta, as the tip of these colors is very soft and creamy, they blend easily resulting in new tones, and that is what I want to achieve, so that the face really reflects a piece of the universe.

Como dije anteriormente, con un puerto seguro donde comenzar, ya puedo ir por el resto de colores, ya que voy a dibujar la galaxia dentro del rostro, aquí utilizo todos los tonos de color azul y verde, estos últimos son turquesa claro y también un poco más oscuro. Para las partes más oscuras utilizo los tonos oscuros del azul mezclados con púrpura y magenta, como la punta de estos colores es muy suave y cremosa, se mezclan con facilidad dando como resultado nuevos tonos, y es lo que quiero lograr, para que el rostro refleje realmente un trozo del universo.

Next I begin to paint the rest that would be part of the neck and the flames of energy that emanates from the face, I paint these edges with light turquoise green mixed with light blue and white. I give shape to the contour of the face and with the white color I highlight the center of the Milky Way, without forgetting to accentuate more the colors that I had been using previously, such as blue and purple.

Seguidamente comienzo a pintar el resto que sería parte del cuello y las flamas de energía que emana del rostro, estos bordes los pinto con color verde turquesa claro mezclado con azul claro y color blanco. Le doy forma al contorno del rostro y con el color blanco remarco más el centro de la Vía Láctea, sin olvidar acentuar más los colores que venía usando anteriormente, como el azul y el púpura.

After making all the possible combinations with each color that could go within the design of the galaxy, I begin to paint the cluster of stars that make it up. With the white charcoal pencil I am making many points randomly without any order so that the stars come out naturally. I give a few last touches to the drawing in terms of colors around the edges and in this way it has been finished.

Después de hacer todas las combinaciones posibles con cada color que pudiera ir dentro del diseño de la galaxia, comienzo a pintar el cúmulo de estrellas que la conforman. Con el lápiz de carboncillo blanco voy hacinedo muchos puntos de forma aleatoria sin ningún orden para que las estrellas salgan naturalmente. Doy unos últimos retoques al dibujo en cuanto a colores por los bordes y de esta manera ha quedado finalizado.

Esta ha sido mi participación e la semana en el concurso, espero les haya gustado, animo a todos aquellos que lo deseen a poder participar, es muy divertido, además de que podemos expandir nuestras habilidades explorando otras formas de dibujo, yo he quedado muy encantado con este concurso que además me ha permitido conocer más acerca de este juego tan emocionante.
