Hello dear friends, I hope you are all well, on this occasion I want to share with you something different, this time it is a small handmade sculpture with various recycling materials, I have used aluminum from cans, electronic components and a small light bulb that no longer works. Uniting these elements I have built a small sculpture of the beautiful creature known as Noxic, a very cute and powerful butterfly. The sculpture measures 13 centimeters high by 10 wide, and is very light in weight. Here I briefly comment step by step how I did it, I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren todos muy bien, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes algo diferente, se trata esta vez de una pequeña escultura hecha a mano con diversos materiales de reciclaje, he utilizado aluminio de latas, componentes electrónicos y un pequeño bombillo de luz que ya no sirve. Uniendo estos elementos he construido una pequeña escultura de la bella criatura conocida como Noxic, una mariposa muy linda y poderosa. La escultura mide 13 centímetros de alto por 10 de ancho, y tiene un peso muy ligero. Aquí comento brevemente paso a paso como lo hice, espero que sea de su agrado.

As I mentioned at the beginning, one of the materials I used were aluminum cans, I used green ones as well as purple and orange, which are the symbolic colors of Noxic. I cut these aluminum cans with scissors and then turned them into thin sheets that I would use to make arms and legs and especially the wings.

Como mencioné al principio, uno de los materiales utilizados por mi fueron las latas de aluminio, utilicé unas de color verde así como también color morado y naranja, que son los colores simbólicos de Noxic. Estas latas de aluminio las corte con unas tijeras y luego las convertí en finas láminas que utilizaría para hacer brazos y piernas y especialmente las alas.

In the next step I use the electronic parts, such as the light bulb, which I paint green, which is Noxic's color, I also use an electronic part that I took from a CD player. At the top you can see the lens. These two pieces are joined together and will become the body of the creature.

En el siguiente paso utilizo las piezas electrónicas, como el bombillo, el cual lo pinto de color verde que es el color de Noxic, utilizo también una pieza electrónica que saqué de un reproductor de CDs en la parte superior puede verse el lente. Estas dos piezas van unida y se convertirá en el cuerpo de la criatura.

Then I take the purple aluminum can and from it I will extract the limbs, both the arms and legs. I make the legs purple, and on the foot I make some pointed figures. After making both legs, I attached them to the body with glue and then a layer of silicone. Next I made the arms, which I also put pointed hands on, in the same way I also glued them to the body. I lifted the figure and stood it up and it held up very well, up to this point everything was going as I had planned.

Despues tomo la lata de aluminio de color morado y de ella extraeré las extremidades, tanto los brazos como piernas. Las piernas las hago de color morado, y en el pie hago unas figuras puntiagudas. Luego de hacer ambas piernas, las pequé al cuerpo con pegamento y después una capa de silicón. Seguidamente hice los brazos, los cuales también les puse unas manos puntiagudas, de la misma forma también las pegué al cuerpo. Levante la figura y la puse de pie y se sostuvo muy bien, hasta aquí todo iba como lo tenía pensado.

After having the body made, the sculpture was already 60% complete, the next step was to make the wings. So I made some templates to make the wings, I made them with cardboard that I then cut onto the aluminum and thus took out both the upper wings and the lower wings. As for the color inside the wings, I did the same, some smaller templates and took the orange and green colors from other aluminum cans. Then I put these small cuts on the upper wings and here I took the liberty of making a change, since I put the orange color on the green when in the original design it is the other way around, this was like a way to leave my personal mark on this very particular design.

Después de tener el cuerpo hecho, la escultura ya iba en un 60% de su construcción, el paso siguiente era hacer las alas. Así que hice unas plantillas para hacer las alas, las hice con cartulina que luego pequeé sobre el aluminio y así saque tanto las alas superiores como también las alas inferiores. En cuanto al color a lo interno de las alas hice lo mismo, unas plantillas mas pequeñas y saqué los colores naranja y verde de otras latas de aluminio. Después estos pequeños cortes los puse sobre las alas superiores y aquí me tomé la libertad de hacer un cambio, ya que puse el color naranja sobre el verde cuando en el diseño original es al revés, esto fue como una forma de dejar mi marca personal en este diseño tan particular.

Then I began to attach the wings to the body, once I had them in perfect order, I put glue on the opposite side of the wings and stepped on them on the body, to reinforce I also added silicone and that way each of the wings would be held tighter at.

Luego comencé a unir las alas al cuerpo, una vez las tenía en perfecto orden, pusé pegamento en el lado contrario de las alas y las pise en el cuerpo, para reforzar también eché silicón y de esa manera quedaría sujeta más fuerte cada una de las alas.

Last but not least was placing the head, which I made a very simple design, where I could put the small antennas it has as well as draw its eyes, to finish I placed that purple ribbon that goes around its neck.

Por último y no menos importante fue colocar la cabeza, la cual hice un diseño muy sencillo, donde pudiera poner las pequeñas antenas que tiene así como dibujar sus ojos, para fializar coloqué esa cinta de color morado que va alrededor de su cuello.

This is how this Noxic sculpture was finished, with a futuristic cyberpunk robotic style thanks to its electronic components but also made with recyclable materials that can be used again and thus not contaminate the environment, turning garbage into a work of art. Así quedó finalizada esta escultura de Noxic, con un estilo robótico cyberpunk futurista gracias a sus componentes electrónicos pero echa también con materiales reciclabes que se pueden utilizar nuevamente y así no contaminar el ambiente, convirtiendo la basura en una obra de arte.
