Hi friends, how are you, I hope you are doing well and working on your favorite projects, today I want to share with you a simple craft as a symbol of my love for rock music, in this case the band Nirvana, very famous in the 90s and considered one of the most important in the history of music. I have made a keychain in which I put the symbol of the band, a happy face but not the classic but very different, I made this keychain using lids from soda cans, cardboard, and paint to give it a good finish. Without more to say, I leave you with the step by step of the project.

Hola amigos que tal, espero que se encuentren muy bien y trabajando en sus proyectos preferidos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una sencilla manualidad como símbolo de mi amor por la música rock, en este caso de la banda Nirvana, muy famosa en los 90 y considerada una de las mas importantes en la historia de la música. He realizado un llavero en el cual puse el símbolo de la banda, una carita feliz pero no la clásica sino muy diferente, este llavero lo hice utilizando tapas de latas de refresco, cartón, y pintura para darle un buen acabado. Sin más nada que decir, los dejo con el paso a paso del proyecto.

I used two soda cans, preferably yellow, I cut them and then remove the lids which I will use as faces of the key ring, these will be joined on the inside by a cardboard. I also used another lid to which I removed the edges to use it as a template, with it I will make all the circles of the key chain including the drawings and also traces on the cardboard.

Utilicé dos latas de refresco, preferiblemente de color amarillo, las corte para luego quitar las tapas las cuales utilizaré como caras del llavero, estas estarán unidas en la parte interna por un cartón. También utilicé otra tapa a la que le quité los bordes para usarla como plantilla, con ella haré todos los círculos del llavero incluyendo los dibujos y también trazos en el cartón.

With the template I made, I mark two circles on the yellow tin and cut them, then using the drawing of the Nirvana logo I mark all the parts on top of the yellow tin and then cut with scissors. Then I do the same but with a black can that I painted myself, since I didn't have any black soda cans.

Con la plantilla que hice marco dos círculos sobre la lata de color amarillo y los corto, luego usando el dibujo del logo de Nirvana voy marcando encima de la lata de color amarilla todas las partes para luego cortar con la tijera. Luego hago lo mismo pero con una lata de color negro que pinté yo mismo, ya que no tenía latas de refresco de color negro.

I begin to join the parts with glue, the logo that goes in black will go on the yellow side, and the yellow logo will go on the silver side. As you can see, I covered the yellow logo with masking tape, since I'm going to cover everything with black paint later. I also cut out two circular pieces of cardboard to put them on the back of the logos and thus make it easier to stick to the faces of the keychain.

Comienzo a unir las partes con pegamento, el logo que va de negro irá en lado amarillo, y el logo amarillo irá en el ladro plateado. Como pueden observar cubrí con cinta adhesiva el logo de color amarillo, ya que luego lo voy a cubrir todo con pintura negra. Tambien recorto dos retazos circulares de cartón para ponerlos en la parte trasera de los logos y así sea más facil pegarlo a las caras del llavero.

Now I start to make the faces of the keychain, I take the two covers and I put glue on the inside, in the same way I take the cardboard that will serve as a link and I also put glue on it. I begin to join them little by little and then I hold them tight so that the glue fits well, with a pointed wire I make a hole where the chain will go. Then I start to paste the Nirvana logos, first I put the yellow one, using the same glue and lastly the black logo.

Ahora comienzo a hacer las caras del llavero, tomo las dos tapas y le spongo pegamento por la parte interior, de la misma forma tomo el cartón que servirá de vínculo y también le pongo pegamento. Comienzo a unirlos poco a poco y luego los sujeto fuertemente para que el pegamento quede bien, con un alambre puntiagudo le hago un agujero por donde irá la cadena. Después comienzo a pegar los logos de Nirvana, primero coloco el amarillo, usando el mismo pegamento y por último el logo de color negro.

Then I cover the yellow side with masking tape so as not to paint black, to paint I use black acrylic spray paint. I apply three layers of paint so that the finish is the best possible and also durable, carefully and after the paint dries I remove all the adhesive tape from the keyring and finally I place a chain on it.

Después cubro el lado amarillo con cinta adhesiva para no pintar de color negro, para pintar utilizo pintura negra acrílica en spray. Aplico tres capas de pintura para que el acabado sea el mejor posible y tambien duradero, con cuidado y después de secada la pintura remuevo toda la cinta adhsiva del llavero y para finalizar le coloco una cadena.

At the end I added photos with some of my old records that have survived over time, they have been with me for more than 20 years now and I take care of them like a treasure, I have very few left, with new technologies owning a record like these is quite a collection. I didn't just make any keychain, but I put in the part of my life and my passion for rock, I hope you liked how it turned out. Al final agregué fotos con algunos de mis viejos discos que han sobrevivido con el tiempo, ya tienen más de 20 años conmigo y los cuido como un tesoro, me quedan muy pocos, con las nuevas tecnologías poseer un disco como estos es toda una colección. No solo hice una llavero cualquiera, sino que puse en el parte de mi vida y mi pasión por el rock, espero que les haya gustado como quedó.
