My Sister In Law’s Engagement Party
Hello my dear friends…
This weekend, i had a pretty busy weekend which i am so in love. I love being busy to do something, especially when its related to family. Its always fun and i always feel the joy of meet up with relatives. Well, eventhough just after few hours my battery will be so low and all i want is to lie down and close my eyes and go off to the dreamland. This week its something impossible to do. Me and my husband have to attend my sister in law engagement party. Using the words party is a bit weird because it feels like its something fun full of songs and dance, while in reality this is something more intimate.
While reading or looking at my post, you will see that i attached night and day pictures . The night pictures were taken the night before the engagement. Me, my husband, and my sisters in law when to the venue to check everything, we only go back after all the decorations and preparation finished. I think that we went back pretty late, around 11 pm. I was so dead tired eventhough i am not doing much in there. I’ve been realizing that in this old body of mine, just sitting and waiting while moving something sometimes can exhaust me so much. Its also raining a lot at that night, in fact, its also raining a lot in the engagement day. The rainy seasons in this country really make a mess of a lot of people plan.
The venue where my sister in law make her engagement party was a restaurant. Its a traditional sundanese restaurant and that is why we can see that design and decoration is like this. The design and decoration reminds me a lot of villagers house, it brings back a lot of nostalgic feeling eventhough you dont really have any childhood memories related to it (like me). I love places like this and that makes it so hard to resist to not take some photograph of the place. I love every photos that i took that night. It makes me want to use them as a wallpaper. In fact, i love this place looks like in the night time more than in the day time when the sun shone so brightly.
Oh, i forgot to share the story about me and my husband journey to come there. Me and my husband live in another city. For this engagement party, me and my husband have to go and stay some nights in my parents in law’s house. We dont have car and for go and back from our house to my husband’s parents house with motorbike needs at least 4 hours. Its a long motorbike ride that i dont think i want to have yet, maybe one day for fun. We decided to take trains there, its a 3-4 hours by train and its so exhausting because we need to change train in the middle but its still way better than riding a motorbike for the same amount of time. Its also safer by train.
Back to my sister’s in law engagement party preparation, we dont have many things to do there since the most crucial part which is the back drop decoration was handled by the workers. Looking at it all makes me reminiscing the time where i had to prepare my own wedding. It was all hectic, stressful, and tiring. I am so glad that it was all already happened and i can be happy with my love now.
Thankfully the engagement party runs smoothly and without major difficulty. The main challenge we have at the time was the weather, its raining on and off again and again.
Last but not least, me and my love feeling happy ❤️
