Two Sandwich Friday

IMG_20221022_054806_484.jpg

This was lunch yesterday: rustic Italian sourdough bread and delicious chorizo from a friend who dropped by for a collection and a delivery.

Both made from scratch and available to buy - in McGregor. SY makes a range of delicious sausages from cured ones like these to bratwurst and chicken sausages. I figure the bread and the sausage makes a sandwich?

This was supper:

Burger night with the batties and the burger buns of sourdough rolls, all home made and out of the freezer for an easy Friday night supper. All I had to do, was rush up the onion marmalade and cook the burgers. The rest pretty much did itself.

This gives you a better sense of the juicy patty, and before The Husband adorned it with gerkhins and filled his plate with wedges.

Finally, advance warning: what went in the jar this week's market is going to feature in a post next week and which will likely also fit here...

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

Chorizo made by a friend and sourdough bread is a recipe for the perfect sandwich, and your burgers look amazing as well Fiona!
I had to chuckle as I sat down and saw you'd posted in @mondoshawan's new Sandwich community, as this is where my post will be published for today - great minds think alike they say ;);)
I hope we get to see sandwiches from all over the world here!

I knew it wasn't a good idea to stop by here at lunchtime when I haven't even thought about what to cook.
The result is a hungry cat, who urgently needs a piece of chorizo and sourdough bread 😹

The chorizo really has such a delicious flavor, especially paired with homemade bread! Yummy! You, foodies, are killing me! I always loved the Spanish

OH!!! I just saw your jars of deliciousness! You never stop, do you? You keep my in new recipes! Thank you! Carrot Almond and olive! ❤️

I had no idea that Mexican Chorizo was a thing until I moved there. It is definitely different and is uncooked, so many differences. Just so you know, it is pretty popular here in the US, in case there is any confusion. (Or perhaps I am just making it more confusing bringing it up1)

Thank you again!!!

Now, I am having burgers tonight. It looked so good!

I need to look up the difference between Mexican and Spanish chorizo. I suspect it's in the chilli.

Hope you enjoyed your burgers!
