Thunderstorm: a summer blessing
Yesterday afternoon, on a 38°C/100°F day, we had the most glorious thunderstorm and just under 20mm of rain in less than an hour.
I have a video: will come back and add it from a different app.
It left everything bright and sparkly.
The spekboom (Portulacaria afra) is amazing.
Even if there are no buds, and it's been particularly hot and dry, it will suddenly flower. It's magic.
And, just like that, the rain and most of the clouds are gone.
Although the sun was low, and the shadows long, it was another couple of hours before the sun set.
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
- Join Hive using this link and then join us in the Silver Bloggers' community by clicking on the logo.

- lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.

Tropical thunderstorms are magical, I love how much rain can fall and everything goes haywire afterwards!
Lucky you! What was meant to be a rainy day here, ended up being a light drizzle. Enough to give everything a decent watering though.
That was Tuesday. Yesterday, nothing. Good to have a bit of respite. The garden is happy.
