Three photo Thursday

Yes, I know it's Saturday, and I'm writing about Thursday, but it's been one of those patches. I decided that this post should give way to #HivePUD and because this month is #HiveBloPoMo, I'd ... ahem ... drip feed. Also, Saturdays are difficult days for posting. And...well...stuff...

Pearli is living up to her strumpet name. Has only been home once in four days. I haven't seen her since 4am on Thursday morning...

The cooler weather makes that weird and also means that Gandalf tries to find a warm spot. This his him. On my desk. In front of the screen.

Looking away means I don't see him. Not!

The day had a good end, though. Even though the Princess was AWOL:

Egg and tomato is a match made in heaven. I think, anyway. After last week's somewhat disappointing turkey eggs, Farmer P had some duck eggs again. Not my usual order: just 4 in time for delivery yesterday. I suspect the season is coming to an end.

Anyhow, there was lovely rich tomato sauce left from Wednesday's pasta and ratatouille. Topped with what really was the freshest, perfect poached duck egg, it's got to have been one of the best egg suppers yet. Especially as the cooler evenings remind that winter's approaching.

Until next time, be well

I am participating in @traciyork's twice-yearly Hive Blog Posting Month. Join us?

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.

Beware, Running Gag! No wonder she's coming home only once a week, with what's coming out of the kitchen... 😎

Just need to find some excuses, again, to not run for cooking and eating here...

She's been home, had dinner. Spent the night at home...had breakfast, and was still around when we got back from the market. No accounting for that cat!

Yes it really did look picture perfect.

So you think next week might be the last delivery of the season :(
Also glad you had a rocking market on Saturday :)

    (Edited)

Quite possibly. I am gearing up to ask if the hens have recovered from the heat and are back laying. I'd rather have her eggs...

Thank you. I still can't quite believe it. Especially when my friend with a pub was quiet as the grave. Weird. Village life! 🙂

I hope those hens are back laying if her ducks have topped laying, as you say it is better to have her eggs.
That is weird when you were so busy, all good for you though :)
