Three, perhaps four photo, Thursday
This is how most of my days begin. Gandalf cannot get close enough for his ritual morning greeting. Some mornings, it's very endearing. Others, well, not so much. Especially in warmer weather and I don't have the protection of winter PJs or a thick robe. He has sharp claws and he thinks I'm a lump of dough that needs to be kneaded. I am neither... lol
Spring means a glut of eggs. I've been waxing lyrical about duck eggs from a friend's farm. Then, a mutual friend had an oversupply of hen's eggs from the same source. She gave them to me. I don't mind, even though they aren't the same size as the store-bought ones. I love the comparison between the two types.
So, last night's supper was poached eggs again. This time, I served them on courgette ribbons sautéed with a little harissa and fennel.
The side salad was simple, mostly from the garden and again with lemon balm. I shall make this combination again.
No profound thoughts today because it's run away with me. Just that I'm really glad to see the back of this week!!
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
- Join Hive using this link and then join us in the Silver Bloggers' community.

- lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.
