The big little things...

This was Sunday. Don't ask how we got to Thursday Wednesday (phew!) but we have. The light at the end of a quiet, glorious almost summer day was just beautiful.

Sunday was blissfully normal. Yes, I'm still hankering for normal, and this is one of my special "normals":

At my shoulderis none of Rambo's favourite spots for keeping in touch (literally) with his adopted humans. He does, though, make the odd foray further afield, returning adorned with debris.

He deposits it wherever he lays his head which can be a little tad inconvenient for his staff. Even if it does create a macro photo opportunity.

If you ever wondered how different seeds - grasses, trees, etc. "move", this is evidence of feline transport.

Back to Sunday, proper

It ending with stoep-sitting next to the braai, looking over the garden. The lawn, after lots of TLC, is beginning to show signs of life.

Oh, and notice at least two necessary witch's accoutrements on the stoep: one leaning against the wall and the other another of my special "normal"'s and resident familiars.

Even thought the weather's warmer, our little braai room is an oasis of warmth, calm, peace and companionship.

Finally, to go with, and after, the braai, a salad and dessert of mostly garden loot and local produce.

Post script: I am trying to participate in @traciyork's November #HiveBloPoMo. I emphasise trying because the last two months have been exactly that - trying. There have been times that I've just been too exhausted and uninspired to post, let alone write something profound. That shouldn't stop you - or anyone. Read about how to participate here.

I've made it to day 9!

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

Original artwork: @artywink
  • lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.
