Friday Files
I'll begin at the end, in a manner of speaking, with what went in the jar this week: a marinated courgette salad. I don't make it often, but when friends have a surfeit of zucchini, this salad with lemon juice and dill is a must-do. It will form part of a meal in the next couple of days so expect a bit more about it then.
For some reason Friday was a very long day. There are two main reasons: I've been (am) tired because I've not been sleeping well (blame it on the hurry-up-and-wait) and the market prep list was a lot of fiddly things like potting things - I forgot to take photos for evidence - as opposed to pottering around. If you get my drift🤣
Given all of that, I was delighted to have an easy supper of ready prepared bits (aka leftovers) after a long kitchen day.
Left over roast chicken, green beans in a vinaigrette dressing with tomato, chickpeas and couscous and, for The Husband, potato.
Post script: I am trying to participate in @traciyork's November #HiveBloPoMo. I emphasise trying because the last two months have been exactly that - trying. There have been times that I've just been too exhausted and uninspired to post, let alone write something profound. That shouldn't stop you - or anyone. Read about how to participate here.
I've made it to day 19!
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
- Join Hive using this link and then join us in the Silver Bloggers' community.

- lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.
