Back to normal? Here's to hoping...

That was the first supper of the new month and the end of a mostly normal day. It's a relief.

The last evening of the old month, we "did" Halloween. Again. As usual, I was a witch. A little less benign last year. For two reasons: the weather was absolutely awful. Cold, blustery and windy, ruining my planned outfit. I decided, though, to paint my face and adorn myself.

Later in the evening, the make-up that was supposed to have made me look fierce, simply made me look either filthy or bruised. Take your pick.

Taken by one of the village photographers (with permission) and downloaded from F*cebook

I promise, those are not bruises: all that cleaned off, leaving my pristine, porcelain (ha!) complexion intact.

Back to the first supper of the second last month of the year:

It was good to have comfort food: homemade burgers on sourdough buns with onion marmalade, the usual sides with potato wedges and tomato sauce.

I am wishing us all, a peaceful, productive and happy November. I am hoping for an uneventful daily grind before the freneticism of December, Christmas and our busiest season - for all of my jobs and side hustles - descends.

Post script: I am trying to participate in @traciyork's November #HiveBloPoMo. I emphasise trying because the last two months have been exactly that - trying. There have been times that I've just been too exhausted and uninspired to post, let alone write something profound. That shouldn't stop you - or anyone. Read about how to participate here.

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

Looks yummy!

I "thought" about doing the HiveBloPoMo thing, but I have already failed, for a variety of reasons. I just lack that kind of consistency in my schedule...
