Another un-February day

Yesterday morning's amazing 6am sky.

The old adage, a red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning, proved true. An icy wind howled all day and brought equally icy squalls of rain with it. So chilly, my woolly slippers found their way on to my feet. We are supposed to be sweltering in plus 35C heat.

Last evening's meat free Monday, as usual, came mostly out of the jar. It was the now popular marinated chickpea salad and because it was a cold evening, I kept the couscous hot and made with McGregor Herbes de Provence's new product: organic green stock. Then I stirred some harissa through it.

I topped all of that with roasted peppers and fresh coriander. We ate it with a side salad that I made in Paul's bowls and and from Trish's gorgeous platter, served into another pair of Paul's bowls. I mention this, specifically, because I mentioned to Trish that, so often, two, if not three of McGregor's potters join us for our evening meal or afternoon tea.

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

  • lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.

The dishes are looking delicious and after seeing this I feel hungry and thinking that I wish I were there to taste it.
And in those sky photographs, it looks very beautiful and mysterious at the same time.

Skies before icy wind and rain, sure look magical. What a tease. I don't wish any cool or cold weather on anyone. I woke up to -13C. Now I have to brave it to get some supplies haha. Hope you get your heat back soon. Dinner looks mouth watering!

I should not complain, really, but a 10°+ variation from one day to the next is a bit startling.

Hope you got your supplies without freezing your bits off!

Wowsers!

I love blue and damn that first picture, you saw for free, nature simply rocks!

The weather temp change though, I feel you, that does my bones no favours with swings like that!

As a lover of the sky, I found myself here as soon as I saw the photos! I love watching the sky, sometimes I watch it so long that my neck hurts. 🤦I especially love watching the sunset, I have many photo shoots about it. I am very interested in what you have taken, it looks tremendous. 🌇
