After the storm, normal programming resumes
That was yesterday as the first thunderstorm of the season passed over the village. Dramatic and the light was exquisite.
Princess Pearli came home, waited out the storm.
Then she went off, strumpeting. Again.
I keep on saying that last week was a whirlwind and Sunday was also busy.
I was glad to have leftovers last night, for two reasons: I am tired and one can have too much of a good thing. Much as I love cooking and the kitchen is my happy space, sometimes a break from the doing and especially the thinking (i.e. the what shall we have... how shall I do... what will work with...) is welcome.
I recreated Wednesday's smoked fishcakes with corn salsa and preceded that with my current favourite starter salad: cucumber, beetroot and tzatziki on a bed of rocket.
A good end to a hot, muggy Sunday and a good week.
Normal programming resumes today.
PS a @ginabot sort of update
After yesterday's whine post, @lanzjoseg7520 invited me to find out more about F.R.I.D.A.Y BOT who could stand in, if not replace, @ginabot. I am investigating and will report back in due course.
In the meantime, it's back to Monday.
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
- Join Hive using this link and then join us in the Silver Bloggers' community.
Original artwork: @artywink
- lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.
That storm looked like it was just enough excitement :) ...
What happened to our Gina???

We don't know - everyone's gone quiet. Appreciate the curation @wrestlingdesires :D
Nature does produce the most amazing of light displays.
Love the word strumpet!
And at this time of year, they happen a lot. Last week, when Selma and Andre were here, we had two literally golden evenings. As photographers, they were in the element.
As for Princess Pearli, she's gone with anyone since she was a mite. She really is the Smith Street Strumpet🤷🏼♀️🤣
Golden evening, oh that is a great way to describe it. S and A should be in their element then!
Hehe gotta love Princess Pearli!
