Black Friday: What's on your WishList?
I don't know if you have Black Friday in your countries but here in Greece not only do we have Black Friday but it evolved to Black Friday week and then evolved again because why not? to Balck Friday month. Basically, the idea as you already know originated in the USA.
Now that's not a history lesson kind of post so i won't get to further details. What i will say though is that when it started the sales in America were amazing and that's why people even fought each other for a TV or something. Now in Greece in general Black Friday is a joke.
Literally, most of the shops have a 10%-30% off type of sales even the sales that are marketed like 50% off and above are actually less than 30%. You see what they actually do is that they have the said product that they sell for let's say 100 euros. They THEN increase the price a couple of months prior to Black Friday to 140 for example. Then during Black Friday you will see 40% saleee to 79.99. If you take into account the actual price of 100 this is 20% sale something you can easily find.
Now the above example is something i actually saw with my own eyes last year. Also each year a lot of people consider Black Friday as a joke due to that. To add to that it's getting easier every day to check upon the prices in terms of previous years and also to search abroad in order to compare.
Of course, there are a few exceptions to the rule so there are some hidden gems. A friend of mine who works in IT bought a laptop 2 years ago on Black Friday for less than 1000 euros you could only find with 2500-3000 euros. Now to be honest i don't have something i am really keen to buy. I just bought 3 Funko Pops for 17 euros each. The cheapest i could find them was 20, 25, 30 accordingly. So i basically saved 24 euros! Hopefully, everything will be as in the pictures otherwise i will cry the 51 euros :P
So what are you planning on Buying or Bought already?
