Cuatro Electric Chill Session | "Piel Canela"

Después de varios días sin publicar hoy comparto por acá una de las canciones que mas me representa en momentos de nostalgia, porque además de que es muy buena canción, me lo paso bastante bien tocándola e improvisando sobre ella.

Piel Canela es un clásico de los Boleros y creo que ya es una maravilla de la música, fue compuesta por Bobby Capó. Se popularizó bastante por el trío Los Panchos y por Eydie Gormé y para mí ha sido una canción muy importante porque me llena mucho sentimentalmente.

Creo que muchos crecimos escuchando esta canción a nuestros familiares mayores y enseguida conectamos porque tiene un estribillo pegajoso y la letra es sencilla y puede representarnos con cualquier frase o verso.

Además de que es bastante diga para dedicar, muchas versiones instrumentales suelen dar bastante gusto a la hora de escucharla.

Aunque es un bolero bastante sencillo busca mucho coquetear con el Jazz y es por eso que un artista mágico como Nat King Cole también fue parte de su popularización.

Para esta producción usé unos drums de fondo para no perder la noción del tiempo y creo que se me incomodaba porque el tempo era mas lento de lo que suelo tocarla así que por esa razón hay unas partes donde me trabo, porque la verdad no estaba para nada acostumbrado hacerla a esa tempo y tampoco quise darle un tempo tan veloz.

Usé el efecto de Midi Guitar para adecuarlo más a mi estilo wave y Jazz, un poco de reverb para que no suene tan seco y una pequeña ecualización para evitar sonidos graves fastidiosos, también tiene un delay para llenar vacíos, pero es muy mínimo, casi un adorno.

No tengo mucho más que agregar por ahora, espero seguir compartiendo mi música por acá y seguir trabajando en dar lo mejor de mí.

After several days without posting today I share here one of the songs that represents me the most in moments of nostalgia, because besides being a very good song, I have a lot of fun playing it and improvising on it.

Piel Canela is a classic of the Boleros and I think it is already a marvel of music, it was composed by Bobby Capó. It was made very popular by the trio Los Panchos and by Eydie Gormé and for me it has been a very important song because it fills me very sentimentally.

I think many of us grew up listening to this song to our older relatives and we immediately connect because it has a catchy chorus and the lyrics are simple and can represent us with any phrase or verse.

Besides the fact that it's quite a song to dedicate, many instrumental versions tend to be quite enjoyable to listen to.

Although it is a quite simple bolero, it seeks to flirt a lot with Jazz and that is why a magical artist like Nat King Cole was also part of its popularization.

For this production I used some drums in the background so as not to lose track of time and I think I was uncomfortable because the tempo was slower than I usually play it so for that reason there are some parts where I get stuck, because the truth is I wasn't used to do it at that tempo and I didn't want to give it such a fast tempo either.

I used the Midi Guitar effect to adapt it more to my wave and Jazz style, a little reverb so it doesn't sound so dry and a little EQ to avoid annoying bass sounds, it also has a delay to fill gaps, but it's very minimal, almost an ornament.

I don't have much more to add for now, I hope to keep sharing my music here and keep working on giving the best of me.
